Bannerlord - Bug Helps One Soldier Break a Siege

A funny situation happened in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord - one soldier repulsed the whole enemy army due to a bug in the game. The player to whom the bug occurred shared this discovery on Reddit, and the whole thing was additionally commented on by the creators.

Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord allows for impressive battles, which are often riddled with bugs.

A Bannerlord gameplay footage shared on Reddit by one of the users, clearly shows the absurdity of the whole situation. Due to an error in the game, enemy units, knocked down by one soldier, fell off the walls one by one, often dying. This bug completely spoiled the balance and enabled the enemy army to defy overwhelming odds. You can see an fragment of this memorable siege under this link.

M&B is known for its siege mechanics.

The event did not escape the attention of the developers, who commented on the post:

"Forwarding to the team. Thanks."

Bugs and sieges

Under the thread, a heated discussion began about various bugs encountered by the players during their battles. Users shared stories about clipping units or disappearing objects. One of the users wrote:

"I literally had a battle drag on 10 minutes longer than it should have and had 5 units from the army die to the 1 soldier left because all the friendly soldiers kept bouncing their weapons off each other trying to smack the last guy."

Another Reddit user also writes that they had to use cheats because the last opponent got stuck in the wall. However, TaleWorlds, the creators of the game, should be praised, as they take the appeals of players to heart and systematically patch the game, which many people appreciate very much.

It's worth reminding that Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is the second full-fledged installment of the popular sandbox series Mount & Blade, which combines elements of strategy and RPG in a quasi-medieval environment. The action of Bannerlord is set in a mighty empire whose ruler died without leaving an heir. The game is still in the early access, and its full version is announced for 2021. The game is available only on PC.
