Employee's Resume Suggests Fenway is Blizzard's New Project

On the LinkedIn profile of Maxine Virtue, an employee of Blizzard Entertainment, there was a message saying that she co-produced a project called Fenway. It's quite possible that this is the company's new game, about which we're supposed to find out during BlizzCon.

A very interesting discovery was made by IGN Nordic, which noticed a rather unexpected detail in the resume of one of Blizzard's employees, Maxine Virtue, widely available on LinkedIn. It reads, among other things, that in 2018-2019 she worked as a co-producer of Warcraft 3 Reforged, Starcraft 2, Starcraft Remastered, Diablo 3 and... Fenway. What is the latter title? We don't know and it seems that we're dealing with a completely new IP.

It's worth mentioning that the fragment about Fenway has already been cut from the description on LinkedIn, so something is on if Blizzard doesn't want to let us know about the existence of such project. Logic dictates that we will learn a little more about it during the upcoming BlizzConline, an annual event focused around the games of the said company. That will take place on February 19-20, 2021, this time in digital format.

Sure, Fenway may turn out to be a simple misunderstanding, but that doesn't mean we're looking any less forward to BlizzCon. After all, we're hoping for a lot more gameplay from the upcoming Diablo 4, and fans are quietly anticipating the Diablo 2 remake. Plus, we're expecting a few surprises as Blizzard celebrates its 30th birthday this year.
