First Gameplay From Half-Life: Alyx

A new material dedicated to Half-Life: Alyx has been released online. The editors of Tested had a chance to test the new production from Valve, and the video they published shows fragments of the game.

The first gameplay (of sorts) from the new Half-Life went online.

Whether we want it or not, Half-Life: Alyx is the only new thing we can count on for now in the Half-Life series. Nevertheless, the first trailer was received surprisingly warmly (at least judging by the statistics), although it did not show much of the game itself. But if that's not enough for you, a kind of presentation of Half-Life: Alyx is available on YouTube. It's not a gameplay per se, because Tested's material focuses on discussing the impressions from the current version of the title, without showing the game directly. However, you can take a glimpse of it on the screen in the background, as you can see below.

Some time ago, Valve assured that the new Half-Life would allow for a comfortable time even during long sessions. The footage presented by Tested seems to support this thesis. Testers spent between 3 and 4 hours with the game, and the first session with the VR Valve Inder set took about an hour and a half. This is all the more important because Half-Life: Alyx is not a short "VR experience", but a full-fledged production - it will take about 15 hours to complete. This can be seen in a large number of dialogues (including lines from Alyx herself), but also, according to the channel's team, in the rich possibilities of interaction with the game world. The main character's gravity gloves are at least as satisfying to use as the cult Gravity Gun from the second Half-Life. It probably won't convince everyone, but the whole thing looks very promising, and probably a lot will change until the premiere. Half-Life: Alyx will debut in March 2020. It remains to be hoped that Valve will sooner consider it appropriate to share a standard gameplay presentation as well.
