Gina Carano Reveals Her Plans After Leaving The Mandalorian

Gina Carano may have been removed from the cast of The Mandalorian, but she's got another job. All courtesy of Ben Shapiro and his The Daily Wire.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Gina Carano didn't have to wait long to get hired after being fired by Disney;
  2. She will produce (and star in) a film co-created by The Daily Wire, a website founded by Ben Shapiro.

A few days ago, things got very noisy around Disney when the company fired Gina Carano from the cast of The Mandalorian and announced that it was not going to involve her in any future productions. Everything had to do with the controversial content posted by the actress in social media (mainly on Twitter).

We did not have to wait long for the reactions of the fans of the series, who immediately began to suggest artists who could replace Carano in the role of Cara Dune. There were also critics of Disney and Lucasfilm's decision, claiming that the dismissal was a slap in the face to online free speech.

Ben Shapiro, a right-wing American journalist and writer who is very active in all political discussions, agrees with the latter group of internet users. He extended a helping hand to Carano and proposed an interesting cooperation. In addition to publicly supporting the actress, he secured her a role and a producer position in a film under the auspices of his news website, The Daily Wire (we can even read about it on the said website).

The actress calls this kind of partnership a rebellion - here are her words spoken on The Daily Wire:

"The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob.I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them."

It's done, so Gina Carano won't play Cara Dune anymore, but she got her own project. This one will also be created thanks to The Daily Wire's partnership with Dallas Sonier's Bonfire Legend label.

And for those interested, Ben Shapiro's website is offering a 25% discount on membership. All we have to do when purchasing is use the code "GINA".

Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
