Minecraft Snapshot 21w05a Introduces Lush Vegetation

Mojang AB released Snapshot 21w05a for Minecraft. The snapshot introduces more lush vegetation in caves, but there were also various improvements and fixes related to snow powder and sculk sensors, among other things.

Mojang AB has given us another sample of what's new in the upcoming Caves & Cliffs Update. This is because Minecraft received Snapshot 21w05a. As before, to test the new content we have to activate it in the game client in the "Installations" section by enabling snapshots. WARNING: Beforehand, we recommend making a backup copy of your world or running a session with a snapshot from a separate folder. Test versions can permanently corrupt your creations!

The previous snapshots varied in size, but always introduced some new features. Snapshot 21w05a is definitely bigger than the relatively modest update with shiny squids and lichens. New features include more "glowing" objects in the form of berries, as well as dangling roots and moss. Dripleaf in two sizes, flowers with spores and a new, rooted decorative block also enrich the cave (and other) vegetation. Unfortunately, we didn't get a new pet this time.

New vegetation enlivens the look of underground locations.

The novelties do not end with changes introdued in snapshot 21w05a. The developers have added further improvements in sculk sensors - blocks that generate a signal in response to vibrations. From now on, they respond to events such as interaction with a mob or the passage of a mining cart. On the other hand, the stonecutter can be used to process copper blocks, and copper bars will drop from Drowned instead of gold. In addition, the properties of snow powder have been modified and many bugs introduced by previous snapshots have been fixed. The full list of changes can be found on the game's official website.
