Nintendo Switch sales have surpassed 100 million copies. Thus, the console overtook the Wii and became the third biggest bestseller among the company's platforms.
Nintendo has reasons to be happy. The Japanese company has just boastedthat Switch console sales exceeded 103.5 million units, of which 10.6 million came in the last quarter of 2021. This enabled it to overtake the Wii and become the third most popular Nintendo platform in history - behind the NDS and Game Boy.
To date, console users have purchased 766.4 million Switch games, including 85.4 million between October 1 and December 31 last year.

The Nintendo DS remains the company's most successful console, with 154 million units sold. However, it seems that the Switch has a good chance of beating this result in the next two years.
