Ready or Not Takes the Cake - December's Biggest Steam Launches

In December, many Steam users chose the tactical shooters Ready or Not and Thunder Tier One. Icarus and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach also recorded excellent debuts.

Valve released the list of the biggest December 2021 launches on Steam. The criterion was the revenue received within two weeks of the debut. The month was full of interesting games. Tactical shooters Ready or Not and Thunder Tier One recorded great launches. Especially the former turned out to be a real hit and for many weeks opened the list of bestsellers on Valve's store.

In addition, GTFO and Sands of Salzaar left Early Access in December, both of which resulted in large increases in sales and activity scores. On the other hand, Icarus, Wartales and WorldBox: God Simulator had successful debuts in Steam Early Access. The highly anticipated launch of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach was also a big success

Traditionally, no specific sales figures or even the correct order of the titles were revealed. That's why we added the estimates of the paid version of SteamSpy to the list. Unfortunately, they can be very inaccurate, so approach the data below with a grain of salt. Also keep in mind that the website gives the total number of owners of a given game, and some of them (GTFO, Fights in Tight Spaces and Sands of Salzaar) were previously available in Early Access.

It is worth mentioning that Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice is not included in this list, as it is a standalone expansion and therefore Steam does not treat it as DLC.

December's biggest F2P launches (by concurrent player count)

Valve also published an additional list, including the most popular F2P launches of December. In this case, the criterion was the number of players. We have sorted the following list according to the overall activity record of the game in question (obtained from SteamDB estimates), and not just results from last month, as this gives a better idea of the level of success that the production in question has had on Steam.
