Steam Achieved New Record of Active Players. Previous One Didn’t Even Last Two Months

Less than two months were enough for another record of active players to be set on Steam. The previous result was beaten by more than half a million simultaneously logged-in users.

If someone a few years ago predicted the imminent end of PC gaming, they were greatly mistaken. The twilight of personal computers hasn't arrived, and they are actually becoming a more popular platform for virtual entertainment. This is evidenced by the still high number of active players on Steam.

According to the latest calculations, on March 2, the maximum number of players logged in to Valve's platform was 34,293,729 people. This beat the previous record set on January 7, which was 33,676,132 users.

Of course, achieving such a result wouldn't be possible without the games that attract new audiences. You can check out the most popular titles on the Steam platform below.

As you can see above, two Valve games are the most popular on Steam: Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. However, PUBG: Battlegrounds is hot on the heels of the latter. The new Helldivers 2 is doing very well and still presents a high level. Palworld, however, experienced a major decline. The result of "Pokemon with guns" is far from the record numbers from January.
