Total War: Warhammer III is the last journey to the Old World brought to us by Creative Assembly. Fortunately, the studio says goodbye to the trilogy in style.
Total War: Warhammer III will hit PC on Thursday, February 17, and you can already check how the third part of the fantasy spin-off to the Total War series is doing in the reviews. Our text can be found below.
Judging by the reviews, it is a good thing that Total War: Warhammer III is the culmination of this subseries. This is partly because the third game is an excellent strategy game, full of improvements over its predecessors. Reviewers especially praise the new diplomacy and siege systems, but they also mention better AI and many small but helpful tweaks.
More for You:
Praise also goes to the campaigns - both their story layers (according to many, the third game has the best story of the whole trilogy), as well as the addictive gameplay, forcing us to venture on dangerous expeditions into the land of Chaos.
Ad to this the perks you would expect from the last Total War: Warhammer - expanded tactical and strategic gameplay, units and factions much more diverse than in historical installments of the series and, of course, the atmosphere of Warhammer pouring out of the screen.
However, there is also another side to the coin. TW: Warhammer 3 can be called the best part of the series, but in some places it is clear that this sub-cycle has aged. Although the developers have taken care to improve the audiovisual layer, the game engine is clearly outdated.
A separate "flaw" mentioned in reviews is... the huge scope of the game. Veterans of the subseries are unlikely to have problems finding their way around, but newcomers will spend some time learning the basics, even with the new, more polished, and even - as some want - "the best" tutorial created by Creative Assembly to date.
However, even journalists who wrote about the outdated elements of the game had much more to say about the advantages. Total War: Warhammer III is an excellent conclusion to the Warhammer trilogy from Creative Assembly and simply a very good strategy game. Players will be able to form their own opinion on February 17.
