Total War Warhammer 3 With NFT? Devs Object, But SEGA Decides

It is possible that NFTs related to Total War: Warhammer 3 will be created. Creative Assembly is aware of the bad attitude of players towards tokens, but all decisions in this matter are made by SEGA.

Total War: Warhammer III showed the power of strategy games - more so on Steam than in Game Pass, where it had some minor problems - but one of the bestselling games of the first quarter of 2022 may soon lose the gamers; favor. All indications are that SEGA has plans to release NFTs related to this strategy game.

Blowing the whistle

Although no specific announcements in this matter have yet appeared, the words of one of the creators of Warhammer III, Mark Sinclair from Creative Assembly, may cause consternation and anxiety among fans.

TW: Warhammer 3, despite its problems, got off to a good start. What elements of the game are particularly impressive? You will find out in our review:

In an interview with the Spanish website 3djuegos.com (via PCGamesN.com) he stated that he is aware of the attitude of the publisher, SEGA, towards NFTs. What's more, the developer doesn't seem to share it, as he admitted that he understands the differences of opinion and concerns of players on the issue. However - as Creative Assembly is part of the SEGA group - what the owner decides is law.

SEGA vs NFTs

SEGA's attitude towards NFT has become rather clear after it announced in January 2022 - despite previous announcements to the contrary - registered two trademarks: "SEGA NFT" and "SEGA Classics NFT Collection". What's more, company officials apparently consider tokens as the next step in the development of the industry and intend to "enrich" all their future game with them - including the mysterious "Super Game", which may be something different than we thought so far.
