Turn-based RPG, fantasy atmosphere and wrestling in one game - this mix is not some random invention of a madman (probably?), but WrestleQuest. The title was announced at the ID@Xbox presentation.
Wrestling is not a particularly popular topic for video games, usually being material only for the creators of fighting games and (more rarely) manager sims. Therefore, the recently announced WrestleQuest must be considered an unusual project, because it is a... turn-based RPG with wrestlers in the main role.
More for You:
The title is one of the games revealed during the ID@Xbox presentation. It is a project by Mega Cat Studios (Bite the Bullet) and Skybound Games teams. The game's card on Steam mentions that we will meet wrestling legends like Randy Savage and Jake Roberts during the game, which suggests the use of the WWE license, although there is no mention of it.
Wrestlequest will enbale us to play the role of a novice wrestler, dreaming of fame and facing the best fighters of the big leagues. Before we fight for the championship title, we will have to gather a team and train our charges. Clashes will take place in teams (most likely consisting of up to three characters on our side).
WrestleQuest will hit not only the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, but also the PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. No release date was given.
