Pillars Of Eternity 2: Fort Deadlight - Map
The map above depicts Fort Deadlight. This large and unique location is part of the world of Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire. The fort is a home of pirates. You can visit this place during Blow the Man Down given to you by Furrante. Another reason for your visit here is during Serafen's personal quest.
Note - The blue numbers on our map of the fort indicate passages between its different areas. This is a rather complicated location and it is easy to get lost here. Each point has two endings. The exception to that is the staircase in the west (point 6) which links a few floors of the fort together.

Important places in Fort Deadlight
1. Default starting area. You begin the exploration of the fort here if you've docked after raising the Principi flag or if you've attacked the fort (the first or the third option during the scripted interaction).
Snake Eyes Condwen is organizing a dice game - you can bet 100 gold and get 0 or 200 gold. You can inspect a hanging cargo and drop it (use an arrow or spell).
2. Alternative starting area. This is a small beach. You start the exploration of the fort here if you've decided to sneak in at night (the second option during the scripted interaction).
You can climb the wall (Athletics or rope and grappling hook) and reach the window leading to the armory in the dungeon (M34,11).
3. Stairs to eastern ramparts. No-Nut Ned is a merchant - he's selling a unique armor The Bloody Links, high-quality weapons and armor pieces, supplies, tools, bombs and alchemy ingredients. Locked level 3 chest with a pike and a belt.
Ancret is guarding access to the eastern ramparts. Mirke (M34,6) can help in getting past Ancret.
6. Main room inside the fort. Mirke is a very important person - you can use her to cause captain Benweth to show up here. The piano can be sabotaged with a bomb so that it explodes when Benweth arrives here (the captain will start playing the piano).
The northern door is guarded - you can get through only after dealing with Benweth.
One of the containers has a Deadlight Horn (quest item).
Syri is tied to Serafen's personal quest A Sorcerer and a Gentleman.
7. Crane. You can reach here, e.g. from the eastern ramparts (M34,3) and use stealth or eliminate the guards.
The chest with a level 2 lock has a God-Killer's Rum for Mirke (M34,6).
8. Kitchen. Cookie Maina is a cook - you can ask her for the Special Stew for Mirke (M34,6).
You can find a lot of food and drinks here, including Seafood Stew (+1 Perception, +Resolve and Intellect).
11. Armory. The doors of the armory are locked (level 4 lock) and by default they're guarded by pirates and guard dogs. You can access the armory from the small beach (M34,2). The lever on the wall unlocks the north-western exit from the armory. In the corridor to the south of the armory there's a hidden level which unlocks access to it.
You can find a couple of weapons and armors in the armory.

17. Command room. The room is locked - open the level 5 lock or use a secret switch in the side corridor.
Captain Benweth is here - you can talk to him or attack and kill him.
Captain Aeldys will show up here sometime after completing the Blow the Man Down quest - wait until you receive a Wine and Gunpowder-Scented Letter presented in the picture above. You can go back to the fort and meet with Aeldys. During that meeting you can express (or refuse to do that) your willingness to work with her. You can also:
- Tell her that it was Furrante who gave you the information about Benweth - you will receive 500 gold.
- Tell her that you have helped Captain Mad Morena in Undercroft in Neketaka (M20,14) (Goods and Services side quest) - you receive a unique Swift Hunter's Garb light armor.
- Tell her that Furrante is working with the Vailian Trading Company (you must have the Mind Similarities quest unlocked and make meeting a part of getting it with Furrante) - you will receive 2,500 gold.

Check out the walkthrough for Blow the Man Down quest in our guide. One of the things that you can learn from that page is the way to get inside the fort. Hanging Principi flag and docking in the port "peacefully" is the best choice - this variant allows you to walk around a huge portion of the fort without a risk of being attacked by the pirates. It also allows you to get rid of Captain Benweth by using a ruse.
Dealing with Benweth allows you to visit the rest of the fort (before that you were forbidden to enter them) - mainly the fort's upper ramparts, the forge and the highest floor where the command room is.
