Pillars Of Eternity 2 Beast of Winter: Harbinger's Watch (M1) - Map

The map above represents Harbinger's Watch available in Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire - Beast of Winter. This is the first new location introduced with the expansion. You can reach that place during An Honored Guest quest. Here, you can start a few new missions and receive an introduction to the story of Best of Winter's.

Important locations in Harbinger's Watch

1. Gate. The main entrance to the location. During your first visit here, you will start an automatic conversation with Harbinger Hafjorn - this serves as an introduction to the story. He also invites you to visit the main Harbinger called Vatnir. The fog on the map gets removed after the conversation.

2. Sculpture. Initially, the sculpture is intact - you can speak with its creator, Harbinger Leksi. The sculpture gets destroyed by The Messenger during An Honored Guest. The fight with The Messenger can't be avoided despite the fact that you have to speak with the dragon first. The Messenger arrives after your conversation with Vatnir in Harbinger's Retreat (M3,3).

Use the hill that you reach after leaving Harbinger's Retreat in your fight with the dragon. Place your ranged characters on top of that hill and order them to shoot at The Messenger. Watch out for Luminous Revenants, enemies summoned by The Messenger.

An Exceptional Robe and an Animal Hide can both be found near the entrance to Harbinger's Dwelling (M2).

3. Frozen Fishery. Here, you will meet with Harbinger Karlodh - she sells various fish.

4. Brewmaster. Harbinger Nyvardir is here. He gives you a free Rymsjódda Lager when you speak with him for the first time. He sells various alcohols. The stash placed on the barrel (requires a character with high Perception) contains a Frost bomb and two fish. Herold Nyvardir can also give you Toasting the Dead quest.

Types of enemies and monsters in Harbinger's Watch

Enemies appear in Harbinger's Watch during An Honored Guest quest - after your conversation with Vatnir in Harbinger's Retreat (M3,3).

The Messenger - invulnerable to Intellect afflictions and resistant to Might, Dexterity and Resolve afflictions.

Luminous Revenant - resistant to Intellect afflictions.

Also, you can face other Harbingers if you fail to convince Harbinger Hafjorn that you didn't kill Vatnir (one of the available choices that can be made at the end of An Honored Guest).
