Pillars Of Eternity 2: The Gullet - Map
The above map shows The Gullet. It is one of the six main districts of Neketaka, which is the largest location in Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire. It is the slum of the city, where you can be held up by thugs as you travel. In this location you can receive or complete a number of quests. Apart from that, there is also a passage to the Delver's Row where all black market traders are.

Important locations in the Gullet
1. Narrows. They lead to several places, but the most important is the Delver's Row where the black market traders are. You have to correctly complete the paragraph scene to get there (as part of the Delver's Row task) - turn right, go straight and pass the skill test which activates when you examine the stall. On your way to the Row you will encounter bandits. You can either pay them 50 gold, use 4 Diplomacy Points / 3 Bluff Points or fight them (it can be difficult for an underdeveloped party).
2. Pitli's Sanctuary. Next to the entrance to the sanctuary you'll find the cat Ickis (+3 to all resistance against all types of attacks).
Near the sanctuary you can meet a Cloaked Messenger and unlock the quest The Cornett's Call.
Pitli from the sanctuary will give you the side quest Harsh Medicine - you'll find the medication in Delver's Row (transition in (M12.1)).
6. Lift to the Old City. When you reach the lift for the first time, you will witness the scene of Botaro's exile - it begins the All Aboard side quest. As part of this quest, you can talk to Hitenga (about access to the lift to the Old City Overlook) and Biha (M12.5).
7. The Hole. It's an inn. You can rest there, buy supplies, unlock new quests and complete some previously started missions. The map of the in is provided in a separate chapter of the guide.
On the upper balcony of the inn (entrance from the first floor) there is a pet, a dog called Deus (+1 to Constitution).
The party may be stopped by bandits to the south of The Hole (attack them or avoid combat thanks to certain dialogue options). There's also a secret stash there with a lot of gold (you need a character with a very high Perception to notice it).
Quests started in The Gullet
[Quests] Delver's Row - There are several ways to start this quest, for example by talking to Pitla (M12.2) or Fyrna in the inn (M12.7).
[Quests] Harsh Medicine - Talk to Pitla (M12,2).
[Quests] The Cornett's Call - You must be approached by the Cloaked Messenger. He should appear near Pitla's Sanctuary (M12,2).
[Quests] Food for Thought - Talk to Enoi (M12,4).
[Quests] All Aboard - The quest will start automatically when you arrive at the lift (M12.6).
Important NPCs in The Gullet
Pitli (M12,2) - gives the Harsh Medicine and Delver's Row quests.
Enoi (M12,4) - gives the Food for Thought side quest.
Biha (M12,5) - you can meet her during the All Aboard quest (M12,6).
Hitenga (M12,6) - meeting him will enable you to gain access right for the lift that leads to the Old City Overlook.
Other information concerning The Gullet
Your interest in the Narrows is a bit wider than just reaching Delver's Row, which is a fully-fledged in-game location. Choosing other options during the interactive scene can lead you to a dead end or to Dereo's Lair which is related to The Cornett's Call quest. The passage to the hideout is guarded by bandits.
You may be stopped by a group of bandits while you are traversing The Gullet. In our case, they appeared on the map shortly after leaving The Hole inn. If you want to avoid a fight, pay the thugs 50 gold or choose one of the unique dialog options - you can use the Intimidation, Bluff, or Streetwise skills or additional options, unique for the chosen hero archetype. If you have failed the skill check or decided to fight from the beginning, there are several enemies to beat and they can be quite a challenge for a beginner team.
The lift to the Old City Overlook is initially not available. The only way to unlock it is to meet Hitenga. You can pay the interlocutor 200 pieces of gold or use 3 History Points / 5 Survival Points. According to the warning, the lift will only wait half a day at the bottom. If you spend too much time there, you will have to find an alternative way out of the Old City.
