In the Ask the petanque player about the may bells quest in Disco Elysium, you have to get the May Bells first and then learn more about it.
You can get May Bells by going to the terrace connected to Klaasje's hotel room. Interact with the yellow ball marked in the image above, and then pass the Hand-Eye Coordination skill check. If you want, you can ask Klaasje about the flower, but you won't get too much information about it.
Due to the fact that the red skill test cannot be repeated, we suggest saving the game before making an attempt at it.
Go to the Pawnshop and talk to Rene Arnoux - use the following dialog option: Do May Bells mean anything to you, Rene? The man will tell you more about May Bells and what they symbolize.
