The Pay Lena back for pin task in Disco Elysium appears at the moment when, looking for cash, you asked for help from a woman sitting in a wheelchair - then you will receive the item Lena's pin - requirement: passing red Suggestion skill check. This is a hidden task, so it won't appear in the journal until you complete it.
The task will end when you give Lena exactly the amount that the pawnshop paid for the pin. Alternatively, you can give Lena her pin by doing a side job Return Lena's Pin.
You don't have to finish this task - you can keep the money for yourself. However, if you return the money, you will receive 10 XP.
