Unlocking the task

Before starting this task, make sure to complete Investigate the Doomed Commercial Area - during its course, you'll receive access to abandoned building, meet with Novelty Dicemaker, and get to ask questions about various businesses that have gone bankrupt.

The next step involves finding a secret room in Whirling-in-Rags - we describe this process on Explore the Whirling's secret passages quest page of our guide. Open the blue door in the kitchen.

In the new room, use the elevator to reach an office on an upper floor. In the office, examine the bookcase and the pinball machine (green orbs in both cases).

A Logic orb should appear above the protagonist's head - click on it, listen to the conversation with Kim, and wait for a message that the task has been unlocked.

Conversation with Gart

Return to the cafeteria on the ground floor of the hostel and find Gart to talk with him about your discoveries.

The man will show interest and tell you more about Whirling-in-Rags. After the conversation, you'll receive 10XP.
