In Disco Elysium, during the task The pissing competition, you will have a discussion with Kim about the unusual competition between precinct 41 and precinct 57. This task unlocks automatically once you have inspected the hanged man's corpse. You can start it sooner, but Kim will say that now is not the time to do that.
In the course of the conversation, ask Kim about why you are cooperating, despite the fact that you are from different precinct offices. Then exhaust your dialog options and finish this thread by selecting Okay, enough of the competition then. Tell me something else.
