Starting the task
Your objective in the Interview cafeteria manager quest in Disco Elysium is to talk with the manager of the cafeteria at the Whirling-In-Rags hotel. The man may know something about the murder that was committed in the yard behind the building. The quest will be available after the first conversation with Kim.
Talk to Garte
Go to the bar counter to talk to Garte - the cafeteria manager. The man will not be able to help – at the time of the crime he was in another district, and he was not the one who informed the police. Garte will mention Sylvie Malaiika, a former employee of the cafeteria and say that she could make a phone call which activates Who made the call reporting the crime? task.
After the dialogue is completed, the topic of a place for you to stay will appear: do not ignore it (e.g. “I will become homeless”) and you will get a new thought to explore: Lonesome Long Way Home or in the case of choosing homelessness - Hobocop.
