The Best Games of 2019 According to Gamepressure

Death Stranding, Sekiro, Disco Elysium, Control, Resident Evil 2, Metro Exodus, this year was full of video game hits. From among them, we’ve chosen 15 titles we’ve liked the most.

Table of Contents

8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Release date: October 2019

Genre: FPS

Available on: PC, PS4, XOne

This year's installment of Call of Duty aroused a lot of interest not only among the (still huge) group of loyal fans of the franchise, but also, what is exceptional, among people who have long been bored with the series. Activision managed to arouse their interest again by using the title to promise a return to the most iconic part of the series and taking seriously to the single player mode once again. What is more important, these promises have been fulfilled!

Call of Duty finally gave us a decent single player campaign, depicting the atrocities of war in a fitting, mature way. During the few hours of the story we not only participate in spectacular, cinematic shootouts, but also decide on the fly whether the woman in front of us is a civilian or a dangerous terrorist. By all means, people who are not interested in multiplayer have reasons to play CoD again.

If, however, it is online competition that we are looking for, the title does not give way to the best of its predecessors in this respect. Minor gameplay enhancements have proven to be very intuitive and realistically improving the already solid gunplay, vast possibilities of weapon customization are a paradise for militaria lovers, and the multitude of various game modes provides fun for many weeks.
