Probably no one today can imagine the driving profession without a decent navigation system. It's no different in our favorite simulator – without an electronic map, delivering goods to a destination thousands of kilometers away seems impossible. So it's worth refreshing it a bit and giving it the look familiar from Google maps. The navigation hasn't been copied one to one, which isn't a disadvantage at all. There are many elements familiar to us from traveling in real life.

Real Traffic Density – more vehicles on the road

The number of vehicles on the road in ETS 2 is not impressive and bears little resemblance to real-world traffic. This is a conscious decision by the developers – they simply took care of fans with slightly weaker computers. However, players with more powerful computers can confidently reach for a mod that increases traffic on the roads. The effect is easy to imagine. Stops at traffic lights in the city and traffic jams are definitely longer, which adds realism to the game.

Real Advertisements – burgers, cola and chicken
Real Advertisement
There have been real stations and companies, so it's time for real commercials. Do you miss billboards featuring burgers, breaded chicken or popular drinks (smartphones and shoes will do too)? Install this mod and your ETS 2 will be filled with all sorts of well-known ads and billboards – the author boasts that there are 335 of them in the game. Unfortunately, the news do not cover all available countries. On the up side, the slogans do match the language of the country.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
According to the countdowns on the Steam meter, I've spent almost 100 hours behind the virtual wheel in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It's hard to say how much time I spent testing and uploading modifications, but I can certainly say that vanilla ETS2 – without mods installed – was on my drive for maybe a few dozen minutes.
