Fallout 4: Cambridge Polymer Labs quest
Last update:
Way to unlock: The quest starts after decontamination chamber has been sealed by the Molly robot in Cambridge Polymer Labs M5,3 .
Objectives:
- Complete the research project
- Find another way to escape the laboratory (Optional)
Complete the research project

To start this quest, you need to enter Cambridge Polymer Labs. Immediately, you will be accosted by a robot - Molly [1], which asks you whether you would want to work for her company. You should agree. Position that you will get depends on the level of your Charisma. You can be a regular assistant or the representative. First, you need to walk into the room on the left [2], sit on the chair and listen to the company's history. Unfortunately, the projector is not working, so there will be no visuals.
After you listen to Molly, you need to follow her. She tells you to enter decontamination chamber [3]. As soon as you do that, it turns out that she wants you to conduct an experiment and up until you do, she does not let you out of the building.

Walk into the building's main hall [4] and defeat all the ghouls. You now need to collect all the materials that you need for the experiment. From room C4 [6] collect sample 413. Head deeper into room C5 and collect sample 65. While in the room, you can also use the terminal and open the door to the chamber with the reactor [7].
Now, go to the room in the bottom-left corner of the facility [8] and collect sample 3111.
Your next step is to go to the upper level to room C1 [5]. From the desk, collect sample 49. In the corner of the room, there is the venting shaft. Follow the shaft to get to room C3 [6] (by default, it is locked with the Master lock).
From room C3 [6], take sample 611. Use the terminal to open the door and leave.

You now need to go to the reactor chamber [7]. The door should be already open, because you used the terminal in room C4 [6]. Defeat the irradiated ghoul and collect isotope U-238 from the shelf at the other side of the water reservoir.
Go now to room C2 [5] where you collect sample 11317.

You have now collected all the materials you need. While still in the room, use the device in front of you. On the left, there are two slots for samples. Place first two unidentified containers in them. Click onto the computer and select the option to identify the samples. Exit the computer, retrieve the samples and place other two containers there. Keep repeating the action until you have identified all of the samples.
With all of the samples identified, slide Lythium Hydride and Gold into the slots on the left. Into the slot on the right, slide isotope U-238. Click on the computer once again and start the machine (the last available item).

ON the conveyor belt in front of you, you spot a piece of gear. In a moment, it appears in the window on your right. Collect it. It is a very good power armor element.

Go now to the decontamination chamber [3] and talk to Molly. Follow the robot to the upper level, to the office of the head manager (by default, locked with a master lock). Unfortunately, the head manager has already become a ghoul. You need to defeat him. From the room, collect several valuable items, which ends the quest.
Find another way to leave the laboratory
If you do not want to follow Molly's instructions, you can try to find another way out. This is much easier than completing the quest, but you do not receive the reward.

While in the main hall of the building [4], you need to go upstairs, to room C1 [5]. There, follow the venting shaft to room [6]. Approach Bergman's terminal and use it. Select the option to manage security systems and initiate. All of the turrets and robots in the building become hostile towards you, but this opens the door to the decontamination chamber. The quest will then be completed and you can leave the building.
Reward for completing the quest: experience, prototypical power armor element, loot from the manager's office.
