A mobile science-fiction hack ‘n’ slash developed by Rayark, a Taiwanese developer specializing in mobile titles. Implosion: Never Lose Hope takes us to a distant future, to a universe where humanity has been invaded by hordes of hostile aliens. The game begins 20 years after the fall of Earth, when a military force from the two remaining human colonies attempts to reclaim the planet and defeat the alien invaders. The action is seen from an isometric perspective and sees us traverse complicated levels and fight against numerous opponents using melee weapons and firearms, with each level ending with a demanding boss encounter. The heroes are also equipped with various attacks and special abilities that are unlocked with our progress during the game. The game is characteristic for its high-quality visuals and directed cut-scenes with professional voice acting.

A mobile science-fiction/horror twin-stick shooter game, stylistically similar to Alien Breed. Xenowerk was developed by Swedish studio Pixelbite, the creators of the well-received Space Marshals. The story is set in an Arctic research station, taken over by monsters, which were bred there. You play as a member of a team sent to neutralize the threat. The story campaign gives you missions with various objectives, focused mostly on battling hordes of enemies. The gameplay centers on shooting the enemies you encounter with a wide range of weapons, which can be upgraded. You observe everything from the point of view of a camera located above the protagonist's head, and you control him with a pad with two analog sticks (you move around with one and target with the other). Xenowerk features a dynamic and spectacular gameplay, and also a multiplayer mode allowing you to compete with your friends.

As the game progresses, the protagonist gains experience and access to many new and useful abilities. This allows him to, for example, increase the number of resources dropping from fallen enemies. These resources can then be used to create new equipment. The game has manga style visuals, similar to the Mega Man series.

We play as the Emissary of Death, and our job is to purge the world from the immortals. The game takes place on a medieval planet, where we will have to face numerous knights, undead, and monsters. From time to time we will also encounter gigantic monsters that will require us to climb onto them and find their weak points in order to defeat them. Gameplay focuses on action, battles, and high difficulty level. The game requires us to plan our actions and think outside the box. Death's Gambit also has some RPG elements, like the character progression system, special abilities, or a wide array of weapons and equipment.

Mario Kart 8 is – despite its name – the eleventh part of the famous arcade racing series from Nintendo, as well as the first installment created for the Wii U console. Once again we can take control of the Nintendo's most famous characters, driving their wacky vehicles. In terms of mechanics, the game borrows several solutions from the previous titles, such as underwater races or performing airborne stunts to gain points, and offers vehicles like motorcycles and gliders. Aside from well known boxes with various power-ups, racing tracks are filled with coins known from Super Mario Kart. One of the most important innovations are anti-gravity races, during which we can drive on walls and even ceilings. This is completed by traditional multiplayer modes, which allow for online or split-screen competition with other players.

Apart from the standard career mode, an array of multiplayer modes was prepared, where up to 24 players can compete at the same time. Unlike its predecessor, the game pushes the Xbox One console to its limits, achieving 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second.

Unlike the main installments, the game from Square Enix Montreal focuses strictly on sniping challenges, in which we have to silently eliminate our targets. Therefore, we can’t move and have to complete our task from a static position. Agent 47 has to locate his prey and can shoot only a single bullet, which is made more difficult due to the fact that most of the missions require you to locate your target in a crowded public space. This forces us to wait for appropriate time to shoot and eliminate it without getting spotted by other people. Completing each task earns us points that can be used to unlock and attach new upgrades to our sniping rifle.

Mechanics have not changed – complemented with characteristic elements of the Tomb Raider series, like exploration and solving puzzles, combat and arcade aspects are emphasized. Gameplay concentrates on cooperation, offering, apart from Lara, three other playable characters of various classes and skills. Interestingly, depending on the number of players, gameplay will be different. More players means more puzzles and more enemies. As the game debuted on the new generation of consoles, visuals are stunning.

The HD version was released on PC and 8th generation consoles. The game takes place in the fantasy world Orience, which, after a period of peace, was once again divided by war. Story focuses on twelve adepts from a magic academy who were delegated to defend the country's borders. Being a part of a greater whole (Final Fantasy XIII), Type-0 HD has all the characteristic elements of the Final Fantasy series. Combat system used in the game combines the turn-based mechanics with solutions known from many action games. The game offers a vast world, filled with interesting NPCs and side quests to do. There are twelve characters for us to play as. Each of them has a different character, combat style, and special abilities. The biggest difference between the PSP and remastered versions are the visuals, now in high definition.

A special remastered edition of the two popular first-person shooters: Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, developed primarily with 8th-generation consoles in mind. The story of the Metro series revolves around a youngster named Artem and presents a post-apocalyptic vision of the world in which the humanity fights for survival after a nuclear apocalypse. The action of Metro 2033 takes place in the tunnels of the Moscow subway that now shelters the survivors from dangerous mutants. In the sequel, we abandon the underground tunnels to explore the open spaces of the ruined city. Due to the gameplay enhancements, the game now offers a multiplayer mode. Both titles in the bundle are almost identical to the original ones and any changes involve mainly improved graphics.

A first-person sci-fi role-playing game featuring elements of cyberpunk. StarCrawlers, a title that pays tribute to the classics of dungeon crawlers, was developed by Juggernaut Games. The player assumes the role of the leader of a group of scavengers exploring space stations and fighting hostile machines. Their main goal is to infiltrate a huge spaceship which was originally traveling to an unknown planet in order to colonize it. The gameplay mechanics were based on the classics of the genre - the action is viewed through the eyes of individual characters, who cannot rotate beyond 90 degrees at a time. The player explores procedurally generated locations, collects items, avoids traps and fights enemies in a typical, turn-based combat system. The team consists of four members, whose different skills have to be developed in such a way that they complement each other, for this is the key to success.

An arcade first-person rail shooter and a spin-off installment of the bestselling survival horror series by Visceral Games, Dead Space. The game’s plot is a sort of a prequel to the events presented in the original Dead Space and explains the reasons why its protagonist, Isaac Clarke, went to USG Ishimura which was infected by a mysterious alien race, the Necromorph. Dead Space: Extraction is focused on the colonists of Aegis VII, a distant mining colony, and their fight against a deadly infection. In contrast to the game’s predecessor, the action is viewed from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay is significantly more dynamic and boils down to exploring subsequent locations, efficiently eliminating all encountered mutants. The title is designed to utilize the capabilities of such controllers as WiiRemote and PlayStation Move.

Tom Clancy's EndWar 2 is a planned, but not finished continuation of the acclaimed RTS from 2008, Tom Clancy’s EndWar. The game was in development by Ubisoft Shanghai, supervised by Michael De Plater, one of the creators of the Total War series. The sequel was supposed to further develop the mechanics and solutions from the original game, and place even more emphasis on the story, as well as polish the gameplay and combat systems. A much bigger diversity of all three factions had been assumed. The development was officially cancelled in February 2010. Three years later, Ubisoft Shanghai begun working on a browser edition of the game, held in MOBA convention, titled Tom Clancy’s EndWar Online.
