Mages of Mystralia is an action RPG developed by Borealys Games. The game takes place in a fantasy world where people with magical powers are feared and despised by those without them. Zia, the protagonist, learned it the hard way. After being banished from her home village, she embarks on a journey with a plan to train her magical powers and meet other people like her. We will explore the game's world, do various side and main quests, solve puzzles and riddles, and fight with the encountered enemies. Combat is dynamic and takes place in real time, so we will have to rely on our reflexes very often. As we play, we will collect special runes that unlock specific magical effects. We can freely combine them in order to create new spells. At the same time, we level up our hero. The game and its entire universe are the brainchild of Ed Greenwood who created Forgotten Realms, Dungeons & Dungeons' most popular world.

Overload is a 6DoF (Six Degrees of Freedom) first-person shooter developed by Revival Productions. The studio was created by the experienced developers responsible for the iconic Descent series, from which Overload takes handfuls of inspiration. Just like in its precursor, the players control a futuristic vehicle that breaks all the laws of physics with its movement mechanics. Our job will be to destroy a reactor and escape in one piece. Overload focuses on the exploration of the unique locations, created according to the "deformed cube" scheme from the Descent series, searching for shortcuts, and looking for keys that unlock next levels of the compound. We will also face hordes of enemies and free the hibernated hostages. We will use a wide array of weapons during our adventures. Each element of our arsenal can be modified to increase its power. We will have to use a more tactical approach when fighting bosses. The game comes with an editor that allows us to create our own maps and missions. Overload features high-quality 3D visuals and a characteristic soundtrack composed by Dan Wentz and Allister Brimble, composers of the music from the original Descent.

From among other titles in the genre, Hurtworld is distinguished by a protection system that evens out the chances of beginners and seasoned players. A first-person horror adventure game and the debut project of The Deep End Games studio. In Perception, we play as a blind girl named Cassie, who tries to discover the mystery of a certain mansion, whose visions has been haunting her in her dreams for some time. It turns out that the place is haunted by a ghost, which has been terrorizing the inhabitants of the house, and now it targets Cassie. We explore the dark mansions and look for clues to reveal the dark past of the building. Due to her affliction, our heroine is unable to use any weapons, being armed only with her intellect and excellent hearing that provides her with a limited echolocation ability. The visuals, powered by Unreal Engine 4, consist mainly of black and white outlines of rooms and items, recreating the girl's unique perception.

This arcade, endless-runner game brings a continuation to the long-standing, iconic Pac-Man series. Pac-Man 256 is a free-to-play title with microtransactions. The game was created by Hipster Whale - an external developer standing behind production of the popular game Crossy Road, based on similar mechanics. In Pac-Man 256, the player takes control of the titular creature running from a deadly glitch, which appeared first in the original Pac-Man game that came out back in 1980 (in the original game, the glitch attacked Pac-Man once the player had reached level 256). When exploring the endless maze, the protagonist eats yellow dots, not only avoiding the glitch chasing him, but also running from colorful ghosts the fans of the franchise are definitely familiar with. The player's goal here is to score as many points as possible before dying. Similar to Hipster Whale's previous game, Pac-Man 256 features a massive number of bonuses to be unlocked. The game is played from isometric view, following the pattern of the original Pac-Man, which was released 35 years earlier.

An unusual attempt to combine one of the most cult shooters of all time with elements of turn-based RPG. In the game we play the hero of B.J. Blazkowicz's cycle, who, captured by agents of the Third Reich, has to get free and face the evil brought into the world by a secret SS unit called Paranormal Division. Just like in the home game, we observe the action from the first-person perspective, but the fight itself was carried out in the turn-based system.

Yooka-Laylee is a 3D platformer developed by Playtonic Games, a studio created by the experienced developers who played a crucial role in the development of Rare's biggest games. The game's title is a blend of the protagonists names. Yooka, the first of them, is a chameleon who has an unusually long tongue, which can be used to grab onto various surfaces and cover large distances. The other one, Laylee, is a bat who can use sonic attacks. Laylee can also carry Yooka and fly with her friend for a short distance. During our adventures, we explore vast, three-dimensional locations. We need to use our protagonists unique abilities to travel around them. There are numerous challenges awaiting the players: from typical platform sequences, through logical puzzles and item collecting, to boss fights. There are also many hidden minigames in Yooka-Laylee’s world.

Strategy, Multiplayer, PBeM, Singleplayer, Turn-based, American Civil War, 19th Century.

A turn-based strategy game developed by Western Civilization Software. As the title suggests, the game focuses on the American Civil War, during which brothers often had to turn against each other when the Confederate States declared war upon the northern states, devastating the United States of America. The action of this game is set at the initial stages of the American Civil War, allowing players to participate in the events such as the First Battle of Bull Run, the Battle of Wilson's Creek (1861), the Battle of Mill Springs and the Battle of Williamsburg (1862). Apart from the large campaigns, the game delivers a number of smaller scenarios, including the hypothetical ones presenting an alternative course of events. Battles take place on huge maps covering the area of 50 square miles, divided into 75-yard hexagons. A single turn corresponds to 24 hours in real time. Brother against Brother: The Drawing of the Sword builds on realism – regiments have their unique skills that made them famous during the Civil War. Apart from the units’ stats and player’s tactical decisions, the battle is affected by the amount of supplies, changing weather conditions, and the smoke suspended over the battlefield.

A continuation of a 4X space strategy game created by the developers of the original title. Star Ruler 2 takes place in a distant future, where humanity developed a technology that allowed long-distance interstellar travel, and made a contact with other sentient species. The game has no story per se – developments in the game are shaped by our decisions and actions made by the AI. Before the game starts we have to select one of the few races that we can turn into an intergalactic power. The players can, in real time, colonize planets, get their resources and develop cities and technology centers. It is also important to research new technologies and form alliances with other empires. A few thousand units can participate in battles at the same and the key to success lies in selecting the right ships, created by us thanks to the ships builder, in which we can choose each part of the vessel. In addition to the single player mode, Star Ruler 2 also offers a multiplayer.

A spin-off to the adventures of the beautiful archaeologist Lara Croft, created for mobile platforms users by one of Square Enix’s studios, which also created a mobile game featuring Agent 47. Gameplay combines elements characteristic for the Tomb Raider series – e.g. exploring ruins and tombs filled with traps – with turn-based logic game mechanics borrowed from Hitman GO. The action is presented in isometric view and the player’s goal is to go through various locations by moving on predefined paths, disable traps, and fight enemies. To make matters more difficult, a part of a location is not visible at the beginning, so you need to precisely plan what to do – each inconsiderate move costs a lot. The game features simple hand-drawn graphics and an atmospheric soundtrack.

The second expansion to Age of Empires II: HD Edition from 2013. Unlike the first DLC, which was a commercial remake of a fan-made modification to the original Age of Empires II, The African Kingdoms was built from ground up entirely by the developers of the original game, Hidden Path Entertainment. The expansion takes us once more to the Middle Ages, however, this time we travel to a completely different region of the world – the African continent. There, you take command of such nations as the Berbers, Malians, and Ethiopians, as well as the Portuguese. Each nation has its unique architecture, technology, and units (e.g. camel archers). In terms of gameplay mechanics, the DLC introduces an innovation - varied surfaces. Your choice to construct buildings on rock, sand, or other terrain will now affect the construction's stability.

The first expansion for Pillars of Eternity, the bestselling cRPG created by Obsidian Entertainment. The action takes place in an abandoned dwarven stronghold, Durgan, where, as rumor has it, one can find tons of incredibly valuable artifacts. The place is overrun by monsters though, and most adventurers that dared enter it never came back. The player’s party accepted the challenge and ventures into the stronghold with a mission of uncovering the secret of the legendary durgan steel. The game features typical cRPG gameplay premises: exploration, questing, character progression. In addition to the main storyline, we can also complete a number of various side quests. Moreover, the expansion introduces new items, skills, additional companions that can be recruited into our party, as well as increased character level capacity.
