Developed by Butterscotch Shenanigans, Crashlands is an action adventure game with RPG elements, gameplay-wise similar to another popular title, Don’t Starve. You explore a vast, diverse world filled with plants, wildlife, and numerous dangers. The game does not set any specific goal for you to achieve; the player’s main objective focuses solely on survival. This necessitates exploration of new regions, gathering resources and food, as well as raising buildings, and crafting useful items and weapons. Gameplay is based on three basic activities: find, act, and build. In Crashlands you can go fishing, grow crops, tame animals, and fight opponents using the equipment you constructed and upgraded with the in-game crafting system. The game stands out with its colorful, cartoonish artwork. Crashlands employs the popular free-to-play business model with microtransactions.

The third installment in a very popular series of mobile logic games, created by Finnish studio Fireproof Games. Both in terms of the story and the gameplay mechanics The Room Three is a successor of the first two parts of the series. At the same time gameplay was significantly expanded. Each chapter offers a sequence of puzzles scattered across adjacent rooms, where you proceed as you successfully overcome in-game obstacles. This makes The Room Three somewhat similar to classic logic adventure games, like the cult Myst. Interactions with individual pieces of puzzles are once again based on functionality of the touch screen, however, some new options were introduced when it comes to controls. The Room Three also offers a very useful hint system. What remained unchanged are: the game’s unique atmosphere and impressive, at least for a mobile game, graphics.

Crypt of the NecroDancer lets us play as a girl named Cadence, who sets on a journey to find her missing father. It leads her to the mysterious crypt ruled by an evil demon known as NecroDancer. It casts an unusual curse on the protagonist, making her heart always beat in rhythm of a music. As far as its mechanics go, NecroDancer is and old school action RPG. We explore procedurally generated dungeons and fight various monsters using weapons and magic. What makes the game unique is the fact that enemies move to the rhythm of music, and Cadence must adjust to their dance to defeat them. Each enemy she encounters has his unique style, and discovering the correct combination of moves is the key to success.

A new entry in a popular series of real time tactical games developed by Atomic Games and taken over by Matrix Games/Slitherine. The players assume control over United States’ 1st Infantry Division, also known as “The Big Red One” during its WWII tour of duty, including Northern Africa, Sicily, and D-Day landings. The game takes place in real time, with the player receiving control over numerous types of units such as infantry, artillery, armored units, or engineering battalions. Our units can amass experience and be refitted with new types of weaponry, which makes them more viable and useful on the battlefield. The developers have not introduced any major changes to the mechanics, keeping the classic top-down view and gameplay seen in other installments of the series. Nevertheless, the players are left with more freedom as to the choice of the location and method of approaching the enemy, while our actions are influenced by weather conditions, type of terrain, or well-being and morale of our units. Aside from the single-player campaign, the game introduces an extensive multiplayer component, with head-to-head and cooperation modes. It should be mentioned that Close Combat: The Bloody First is the first installment of the series that uses a 3D graphical engine, which also offers more detailed models and animations of the individual units.

The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 which translates into advanced visual effects and detailed graphics.

Developed by Marvelous AQL, another installment of the third-person perspective action games subseries of the Fate franchise, which after a longer break returns to gaming consoles. The action of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star takes place after events from Fate/EXTRA. As the previous war comes to an end, the supercomputer Moon Cell Automaton takes over the world and sends the players to a digital kingdom known as SE.RA.PH., where they have to fight one more battle for freedom. Mechanics slightly resemble productions from the Dynasty Warriors series. During gameplay you control one of 16 characters known as Servants – there are both some new and old characters. Each of the aforementioned figures possesses unique, great powers that you can use in combat with tens (or even hundreds) of enemies at the same time. In contrast to the other titles in the franchise, representing either jRPG or visual novel genres, this production features fast and spectacular action in the form of a hack-and-slash.

Adventure, Exploration Games, FPP, Indie Games, Action Adventure, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.

An FPP action-adventure game featuring sci-fi elements and focusing on exploration. It was developed by Blue Isle Games - a Canadian team popular for Slender: The Arrival. The player is taken to the titular valley, which is a mysterious place located somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. Assuming the role of an unspecified character, the player traverses a set of diversified locations, trying to discover the secrets hidden in the area. The protagonist makes use of the L.E.A.F. exoskeleton, which belongs to the latest inventions in technology. However, thanks to the possibilities the exoskeleton offers, the exploration is very dynamic, for the protagonist can access locations an ordinary human being would not be able to reach. One of the most important uses of L.E.A.F. is control over life and death - the player can both deprive organisms of their lives or literally breathe life into them. There is a price to be paid for this ability however, because each death of the protagonist causes the entire valley to decay gradually.

Action, 2D, Indie Games, 60s and 70s, Polish, Singleplayer, Stealth, Top-down.

An oldschool 2D action game with stealth elements and a gangster atmosphere, created by Polish studio iFun4all. Serial Cleaner takes place in America of the 1970s and you play as a seemingly ordinary citizen, who's really the eponymous “cleaner,” specializing in cleaning crime scenes—getting rid of the bodies, evidence, and blood. The missions in the game are based on real crime scenes from the 1970s, and your task is to efficiently clean them without getting noticed by the policemen patrolling the area. The game gives you complete freedom and rewards you for exploring, making quick decisions and experimenting with different methods of solving a problem. Your task is made slightly easier by the fact that the policemen are a rather lazy and not quite clever bunch, and they don't pay much attention to their duties.
