A remake of the classic first-person shooter, originally released in 1997 for Nintendo 64. The story is loosely based on the 1995's film of the same title, which tells the story of a prototype Russian satellite weapon capable of destroying the balance of power in the world. In search of it, James Bond visits various locations around the world, including some that were absent from the movie (Kyrgyzstan for example). In the story campaign, 007 not only has to deal with regular enemy soldiers, but also with eight classic villains, serving as the game's boss characters. In comparison to the original game, the protagonist has many more offensive skills (hand-to-hand combat was improved, Bond can perform sneak attacks for example) as well as an expanded set of moves (for instance, jumping over obstacles). The experience is complemented by a multiplayer mode and completely new visuals.

First-person shooter with stealth elements developed by Rebellion (the creators of the Aliens vs. Predator video game series). Rogue Warrior is set in the middle of the Cold War. The player assumes the role of Richard Marcinko, a famous Navy SEALs veteran, voiced by Mickey Rourke, an actor known from Sin City. The protagonist is sent to North Korea with a secret mission. Due to the nature of his task, the hero should try his best to keep low profile and eliminate enemies quietly. Such kills are shown as brutal finishers. In situations when stealth tactics are no longer valid the game turns into a classic FPP shooter with a cover system similar to Gears of War. Missions are usually set in military compounds and factories, so there is a lot of close-quarter combat. The main game mode in Rogue Warrior is story-based single player campaign, which consists of a string of linear missions. Apart from that, the developers also prepared competitive multiplayer.

The player’s task is to discover who is behind the entire scheme. Mechanics-wise, the production does not deviate significantly from the solutions of its predecessor. The most important novelty is the fusion system that allows two different superheroes to use one special power. The game’s plot can also develop non-linearly, depending on the choices made during dialogues.

Thus we can take part in track events, shot-put, long jump, cycling or even Olympic shooting. The point of the gameplay is of course to be victorious in every discipline. London 2012: The Official Video Game of the Olympics Games was adapted to accommodate a larger audience, so the controls are very simple and intuitive. We can show off our results on network scoreboards, and aside from the single player mode, we can engage in a competitive multiplayer mode. The game incorporates a high-quality graphical layer – the athletes’ animations were created during professional motion capture sessions. In view of the fact that this is a fully licensed product, the individual disciplines take place on real arenas.
