And so they turned to a certain lord, who gave them a task of clearing a few dungeons of monsters and rescuing a damsel in distress. In terms of gameplay, the game is identical to its predecessor and offers quick action, with players madly dashing through randomly generated dungeons, fighting against monsters and collecting treasures. The main difference is that we no longer control one hero, instead playing as two of the four protagonists, so using both heroes’ skills properly is crucial.

An original, first-person action experience delivered by Dejobaan Games. The player takes on the role of a female stunt performer gifted with an incredible ability to manipulate time. The plot focuses on her newest assignment, which is a film about crazy robots attacking the inhabitants of Boston. The story campaign here consists of a series of relatively short levels requiring the player to survive, eliminate the enemies and reach the designated spot. Simultaneously, the challenges the player encounters are truly extreme. For instance, the player has to maneuver between speeding cars, avoid large stones falling, jump on the roofs of moving trucks or dance in order to avoid deadly laser beams. Using the protagonist's unique ability is the key to success here, because time passes only when she is in motion. As a result, the player can analyze the situation without the pressure of time and find a way to overcome each difficulty.

An arcade real-time strategy game by Pocketwatch Games, featuring old-school pixel art visuals. The action of Tooth and Tail takes place during an animal revolution, modeled to the conflicts of the turn of 19th and 20th century, where several factions comprised of different animal species fight to the death. Gameplay mechanics resemble classic RTS productions—their foundations lay in resource gathering, base building, and tactical combat. In the game, however, we can not issue direct orders to individual units. Instead, we assume control of their commander, who moves throughout the battlefield with a banner in his hand. His task is to designate places in which buildings will be built and show his subordinates their targets. Since we control just one character, the controls of Tooth and Tail resemble a typical action game rather than strategy, and most processes were adequately automated so that the player can focus on pure fun.

Another free-to-play game developed by the creator of Agar.io – a minimalistic action game developed for mobile devices and Internet browsers. In contrast to its predecessor, in Diep.io the player doesn’t control a ball, but a small tank in which he fights other players over points. The vehicle can move in all directions and the cannon is controlled independently from the rest of the machine. The gameplay focuses on sending missiles at colorful figures appearing on the map. Destroying them is awarded with experience points used for upgrading the tank with health regeneration, increased projectile speed and greater power. It all becomes especially useful when fighting other players that are present on the same map. Except for obtaining the highest possible score and staying alive for as long as possible, the game doesn’t have any additional objectives. The visuals of Diep.io are minimalistic – the tanks are simply colorful balls with rectangle cannons and the map looks like a piece of paper from a notebook.

A first person adventure game featuring some exploration elements, developed by British Pixel Spill. The game takes players to an alternative version of the 1980s - the main protagonist is an astronaut tasked with a peculiar investigation. He is to discover the secret behind the lost communications with a Soviet space station. Upon reaching the place, our character quickly discovers that the crew have vanished. To make things even worse, many of the station’s systems are in a miserable condition. As one might easily guess, it is none other than the main protagonist, who has to solve the mystery of whatever happened. Gameplay revolves around the exploration of the space station, which is even more attractive due to the zero gravity mechanics. During the game, one has to gather clues and pieces of evidence that gradually reveal the pieces of the storyline puzzle. Occasionally, players will face some logical puzzles as well. The entire experience features 3D visuals - what is worth noticing, all the items, paintings and structures are modeled after their real counterparts from the 1980s. Whenever that was not possible (e.g. due to a fantastical nature of the items in the game), the objects were modeled to feature similar aesthetic.

Puzzle, 2D, Indie Games, Match-3, Singleplayer.
An extensive logic game belonging to the so-called match 3 subgenre; it was developed by Playrix Games. The player assumes the role of a gardener whose task is to restore a parcel back to its former glory and discover the secrets of the place along the way. The entire game is set in a large garden divided into several sections. In terms of mechanics, typical "match-3-objects" rules were applied here. Thus the player's goal is to match pictures of different plants together to create spectacular-looking combinations, which results in scoring an adequate number of points. Those can be spent on gradual expanding of the parcel. The experience is diversified by numerous bonuses and hacks, such as stopping the passage of time for a short while. Between subsequent levels, the player is taken to story-based segments - during those, the protagonist can talk to different characters, buy new garden accessories and plant more and more beautiful pieces of greenery.

RPG, 2D, Internet, jRPG, Multiplayer, Pokemon, Singleplayer.
A mobile RPG that resembles the famous Pokemon series. The players assume the role of a young boy who intends to become a master monster trainer. In the game, we traverse locations in search of new beasts. The fun boils down to catching encountered creatures and training them to make a team that will then be sent to fight other trainers' creatures. In total, there are over 900 monsters to catch, all divided into several categories (fire, water, shadow, etc.). Strengths and weaknesses of every one of them are based on rock, paper, scissors rules — each creature is especially effective against one kind of enemy and weak against another. Therefore, our team has to be composed in a way that makes it ready for all possibilities. Battles are fought agains AI-controlled opponents as well as other players. Graphics-wise, Neo Monsters resembles other Japanese two-dimensional RPGs. The production features manga style visuals, while the story is told with static dialogue scenes. Neo Monsters is available for a small amount of money but features micropayments.
