A third-person action game set in the world of the popular X-COM series developed by Microprose. X-Com: Enforcer once again exploits the theme of fighting invaders from space. The game is set at the beginning of the 21st century and casts the player in the role of a member of the titular organizations, whose mission is to save the mankind's homeworld attacked by an alien race. This time however, the action is viewed from a third-person perspective - the player controls the so-called Enforcer, which is both a robot and the greatest military achievement of human scientists. Armed with the finest weapons, the mech is sent to subsequent places attacked by the aliens, in order to eliminate all the enemies and to destroy both their installations and teleports. The game offers 30 missions which take place in urban areas, underground tunnels or on the rooftops of skyscrapers for instance. Between subsequent missions, the player can upgrade the Enforcer through installing different elements that affect the robot's combat capabilities.

Additionally, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 contains Duel and World Tournament modes – the former allows the player to choose his opponent and leaves him the choice of the arena, while the latter introduces a series of encounters that are played as a tournament. It should be mentioned that we can either go solo, competing with the AI, or invite another player. The cel-shaded visuals are undoubtedly a mainstay of the game, paying tribute to the works of the legendary mangaka. The game introduces the ability to import your character from the previous installment.
