An official expansion for Painkiller, an FPS created by the Polish studio People Can Fly. Daniel Garner managed to defeat Lucifer but his throne was immediately taken by Alastor. The hero must pick up his weapons once again and face hordes from hell so he can finally defeat its new demonic ruler. The developers created ten new, complex maps for this expansion and each one of them has its unique style – during the game we visit, e.g. a demonic version of Stalingrad. The gameplay remains unchanged – the core of the game is to eliminate hordes of weaker enemies alongside those that are much stronger, including powerful bosses. The AI was important for the developers during the development of Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell and the game shows that. This also makes this title a little bit harder. The arsenal is also expanded – we can use, e.g. a weapon that is a hybrid of a machine gun and a flamethrower. Besides the single player campaign, the expansion also introduces two new multiplayer modes.

The sequel to the renowned RTS from 1994, developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness once again throws the players into the war-torn world of Azeroth. Although it has been over six years since the memorable defeat of the orcs, the invaders have not given up on their plans and now, with vengeance being their primary ambition, they have reached the borders of the human kingdoms by utilizing a giant armada of heavily armed ships. When it comes to the gameplay mechanics, the production is extremely similar to its predecessor; the player chooses one of the sides of the conflict and tries to defeat their foes by building up his base and creating a strong military. The gameplay for each of the races is remarkably similar, with distinct types of spells and spell-casters being the main difference between the factions. In contrast to the predecessor, in Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness the developers have strayed away from scenarios played out in dungeons, and have prepared numerous varied environments and terrain types.
