The third installment in a light-hearted adventure game series created by Czech developer Amanita Design, who also created such titles as Botanicula and Machinarium. Once again, you play as the little space gnome, who does not speak and communicates with the world solely by gestures and strange sounds. In terms of gameplay, Samorost 3 is a typical point-and-click adventure game that focuses on exploration of diversified locations and solving inventive logic puzzles. In contrast to its predecessors, which were very short and simple productions, the newest installment in the Samorost series is a full-fledged production offering several hours of gameplay. The game’s unquestionable strength are its audiovisuals. The graphics were created with a technique that combines photography and hand-drawn elements. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the soundtrack composed by Tomas Dvorak, known from previous productions by Amanita Design.

A reboot of the popular gothic horror adventure game series, developed by KING Art Games. The action takes the player to Scotland of the year 1926, where the hero – David Gordon – conducts an investigation into the circumstances of his father’s suicide. During the adventure, the protagonist discovers details concerning his father, learns of family members he never knew existed, and faces his own nightmares – he is certain that there is a curse on his family, and that eventually he will go insane, just as his predecessors. In Black Mirror, the player travels through depressing locations, chat with NPCs, and solves more or less complicated puzzles – these are similar to those in classic point-n-click adventures. The visions and nightmarish hallucinations play a crucial role in the game – once the hero experiences them, he may learn more about his family house’s past. The amazing visuals feature faint colours which intensify the gloomy atmosphere.

A third-person perspective (TPP) sandbox action game developed by an independent studio Undead Labs. The player is in control of a shopkeeper, Marcus Campbell, and his small group of survivors, who try to survive in a world overrun by zombies. The developers prepared several dozen playable characters in total, each of them endowed with unique skills. As befits a sandbox game, State of Decay features great freedom of action and a sizable open world to explore. Besides fighting the undead, gameplay focuses on such activities as rescuing other characters, collecting food, searching for weapons and ammunition and building shelters. Game is built on CryEngine 3 and features single player mode only.

The first one offers advanced industry and aggressive expansion possibilities, the second focuses primarily on environmental protection, while the third one emphasizes modern technologies. Aliens vs Predator is a first-person action game developed by Rebellion. It is a reboot of the popular FPS series released between 1999 and 2002. The game's plot combines elements from two popular comic book and movie series. We can play as a Xenomorph, the Predator, or as a Marine. There are three campaigns available, each of them having its own unique gameplay mechanics. If we choose to play as a Marine, we get a rather typical first-person shooter, where we use state-of-the-art technology to eliminate the alien species. However, playing as either a Xenomoprhs or the Predator is very different, due to the species unique abilities. Xenomorphs, endowed with deadly claws and tail, can walk on walls and ceilings. They can not only kill their enemies, but also assimilate them. The Predator can see in infrared, and is equipped with many useful and deadly weapons, like a plasma caster, spear, or a crossbow.

On their journey, the player can develop their character’s combat potential by selecting consecutive abilities as they see fit. Since mid-2010, the game has switched to a free-to-play business model. This means that the players can enjoy it for free, however, those who want to unlock the access to the so-called 'premium content' have to utilize the optional microtransactions system.

The open world of the game is procedurally generated, and the surfaces of planets and moons are made of voxels. You play as an astronaut equipped with tools allowing them to dig holes in order to find resources and artifacts, which can be then sold or used to create new items thanks to an expansive crafting system. The system allows not only to make and modify useful equipment and vehicles, but also to build bases. The planets featured in the game vary in terms of gravity, resources, and possible dangers. The game features both a single player mode and a multiplayer mode.

A science-fiction turn-based 4X strategy game and a debut of Amplitude, a studio created by former employees of EA and Ubisoft. The game takes place in the distant future, in a galaxy inhabited by 8 rivaling civilizations. The player assumes the role of one of them and is tasked with leading his faction to domination over the others. The gameplay focuses on exploration of a randomly generated galaxy, developing economy, technology and diplomacy. The game also features epic battles of powerful armadas of spaceships which can be freely modified – the player can decide about the ship's engine, weapons and other systems. The skirmishes – similarly as the whole game – are turn-based and the player’s actions are limited to supporting his troops or weakening the opponent with special action cards. Heroes, who can belong to one of five different classes with unique technology trees, have direct control over our fleets.

A classic two-dimensional platformer game developed by Broderbund Software. The game set the direction for the genre, and many later platformers were trying to follow it. The player assumes the role of the eponymous Prince of Persia, whose task is to rescue a beautiful princess held by the evil vizier Jaffar who has kidnapped her in order to take over the kingdom ruled by her father. Unless the princess decides to marry Jaffar, she will die. The protagonist has only an hour to free the princess who is being held in the dungeons under the palace. In the game, the protagonist traverses nearly three hundred chambers filled with different traps and armed guards. The gameplay is diversified with puzzle solving and the already mentioned time limit, requiring the player to develop their skills in order to make a progress. The game offers relatively simple visuals, but it stands out with exceptionally realistic character animations. The action is displayed in the classic side-view camera angle, and the game features Middle East-inspired music.

A real-time strategy game developed by EA Los Angeles. The title takes place in the fantasy universe of Middle-Earth created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The game allows the players to participate in two separate campaigns in which they can lead one of 4 nations: riders of Rohan, soldiers of Gondor, army of Isengard and legions of Mordor. Each nation has its advantages and weaknesses. The gameplay combines features of classic RTS games, based on resource gathering and base expansion paired with epic fights during which, similarly as in the Total War series, the player controls whole formations of troops and powerful war machines. Heroes with special powers, such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli are an interesting addition to the formula. The developers recreated many battles known from the trilogy, including the Battle of Helm’s Deep during which as much as 500 units can appear on the screen simultaneously. Graphics of the title are generated by the engine that was previously used in Command & Conquer: Generals.

Contrary to its predecessors developed by Capcom, Lost Planet 3 was created by Spark Unlimited (Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, and others). The story presents the events preceding those of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. The protagonist is a civil pilot who takes part in the colonization of Eden III. It quickly turns out that the icy planet is inhabited by Akrides, a race of deadly monsters with thermal energy running through their veins. The developers decided to somewhat slow down the gameplay and introduce such elements as a cover system and the ability to control powerful robots. The game is powered by the efficient Unreal Engine 3.

Full Throttle Remastered is a remastered edition of the classic 1995 point-and-click adventure game that was developed by LucasArts. Just like the remaster of the Day of the Tentacle, the refreshed version of Full Throttle was created by Double Fine Productions, a studio made of developers of the original game. The game takes place in a grim future where classic vehicles were replaced with the machines powered by antigravity-based engines. We play as the leader of a motorcycle gang, who, along with his companions, is being accused of killing the owner of the last remaining company that produces classic motorbikes. Our job is to clear our name and find the actual person responsible for that murder. Audiovisuals of the original game were visibly refreshed and improved. New high-resolution backgrounds were created for the remastered version, and every animation frame was re-drawn by hand from scratch.

A tactical RTS set during World War II that expands on the Men of War franchise. It was developed by Barbed Wire studio, known for its modifications to both games from Men of War: Assault Squad series. Gates of Hell gives us a wide view on the war, taking us on battlefields of all years and fronts: from snowy plains of USSR to sun-scorched sands of Africa. Gameplay is focused on the tactical layer, without any form of resource gathering or base building. We direct all of our attention to commanding our units, with building being limited to trenches or setting up barbed wire and mine fields. We can also take control of a single soldier and control him like in an action game. One of the strongest elements of the production is realism: the creators have carefully recreated not only appearance, but also battle skills of various armies.

Another PC game belonging to a series of bus simulators published over the years by astragon Entertainment. Developed by StillAlive, the game includes vehicles from such brands as MAN or Daimler Buses, and gives us an opportunity to explore one of the German towns. Apart from driving as such, the player also has to interact with passengers (selling tickets for instance) and cope with various random occurrences. The career mode rewards being professional, being on time in different places, and driving with respect for law. The game can be experienced both solo or in the synchronous multiplayer mode, which is included in the game. Bus Simulator 18 offers a game world two times larger than its predecessor - Bus Simulator 16. This new installment utilizes the worldwide acclaimed Unreal Engine 4, which was created by Epic Games.

A science-fiction first-person perspective online shooter in which the focus was placed on cooperation. The title was developed by the creators of the Left 4 Dead series – studio Turtle Rock. In many aspects Evolve is similar to the titles in the aforementioned series. The game takes place in an undetermined future and focuses on four-player teams hunting alien beasts. The members of the team belong to four different classes with various abilities that supplement each other during the game. The fifth player assumes the role of a monster, able to evolve into stronger forms during the game and obtain new, deadly abilities. In contrast to similar games, gameplay in Evolve is asynchronous and unique for each side and the final score depends mostly on cooperation between the players. The graphics of the game are of high quality provide by the CryEngine technology and the power of the eighth generation consoles.

A new installment in the most famous civil aircraft simulator from Microsoft. The new edition stands apart with its improved visuals and support for DirectX10 multimedia libraries, enabling the developers to introduce spectacular weather effects and accurate aircraft models. The world of Microsoft Flight Simulator X is built from over 24 thousand airfields from all around the world. The players can choose from numerous authentic aircraft, from commercial airliners (including Boeing 787 and Airbus A321), through stunt planes and helicopters, and up to hydroplanes (Grumman G-21 Goose). Moreover, we are also given a Learning Center, an extensive training mode, and a number of basic missions and challenges that offer a number of hidden rewards when completed. The game contains a multiplayer component, with LAN as well as online modes. Microsoft Flight Simulator X also introduces the ability to use all of the add-ons released for the previous installments of the series.

Remastered version of the tenth entry in the legendary jRPG series, Final Fantasy, which debuted in 2001 exclusively for PlayStation 2. While the original game has been developed by Square Enix studio, the remastered version has been developed by an inside team of Square Enix company. The story takes players to a fantasy world of Spira. The protagonist is Tidus, a sportsman whose home town gets attacked by a powerful creature known as Sin. He finds himself in an unknown environment, not knowing what had happened and how to go back home. Soon, he joins a party of young priestess named Yuna, whose task is to defeat Sin. As far as gameplay is considered, Final Fantasy X HD remains unchanged. Te game does however offer enhanced textures and models to fit higher resolutions. The quality of cutscenes has also been improved.

Online action game representing the popular Multiplayer Online Battle Arena genre; developed by Blizzard Entertainment, initially as a mod for the cult RTS StarCraft II. The title takes us to a fantastic world of Nexus, where the best-selling Blizzard universes of Diablo, StarCraft, and WarCraft come together. In this world, we participate in online battles between teams of several people assuming the roles of well-known characters from the abovementioned games. Each of them falls under one of four classes – assassin, warrior, specialist, or support – and is characterized by their own set of unique skills. The teamwork is the key to victory. The 20-minute long duels taking place on different arenas have one goal: to take over the opponent’s base and not let them do the same with ours. The authors emphasize the user-friendliness of gameplay and control system, making the game accessible even for inexperienced players.

An FPP horror game, largely based on the rules of the Russian roulette. Buckshot Roulette has us play against a terrifying croupier and instead of the revolver we use a 12-gauge shotgun. There are various items capable of changing the existing rules of the game.
