In the beginning of the game, you create your own club, and help it win the championship through a series of victories. Matches are played out in turn-based system, in which you give commands to your players, a formula quite unusual for this genre. In each turn you can execute up to 3 actions, and every action takes a number of movement points. Despite its innovativeness, Football Tactics features typical management options as well, requiring you to take care of the club’s budget, personnel, and infrastructure, as well as player recruitment and training. As Football Tactics is an unlicensed product, it features only fictional clubs and players.

Alpha Betty Saga takes place in a world of mice, in which professor Alpha, Betty, and Barney go on a journey to collect new words to the Encyclopedia of Everything. Our task is to phrase the words from the letters scattered on a small board. The longer the word we create, the more points we get. If we phrase a word from at least five elements, we will get a special letter which will get us additional points when used. There are also various power-ups we can use that will ease the gameplay a little. Additionally, every mouse has a special ability. The developers created over a hundred levels, on which we need to collect the specified number of points within a limited number of moves. To achieve this, we must recruit new members to our gang, train them and send on missions like stick-ups, mugging, and assassinations. Infiltrating banks, factories, and other influential institutions is crucial to our success, in addition to building useful structures and researching new technologies – all of this without going broke of course. As in pretty much any survival game, the essential element of the gameplay is the need to obtain food, and the resources necessary to construct simple tools or, eventually, your own fort. The fort serves as a shelter, but it can also be attacked by other players struggling for supremacy on a given game server. Depending on your preferences, you can fight at close quarters or at range. We explore three previously inaccessible areas of Sewastopol, with the disabled robot storage being one of them. All the time we have to hide from the murderous alien creature and the less, but still, dangerous androids. The entire expansion is a nice challenge for those who like survival because the new maps are filled with narrow corridors where it's difficult to find a hideout. The first expansion to the well-received turn-based strategy game Battle Academy 2: Eastern Front from Slitherine. The expansion pack recreates the eponymous Battle of Kursk, known as the greatest armored battle in world’s history. In the summer of 1943 the Nazi Germany made a desperate attempt at regaining the upper hand on the Eastern Front, throwing in almost all of their advanced combat vehicles. The Russians defending Kursk, however, predicted the enemy’s plan and kept shattering enemy squadrons one by one as they were approaching the city and managed to keep the Germans at bay. In the game you can pick one of the two sides of the conflict, either taking control of German tanks assaulting the city or the Soviet defenders trying to repel the offensive. Individual missions in both campaigns are tied to one another, which means that the loss you take in one battle carries over to the next one. In terms of content, the game does not deviate significantly from what we have come to expect from full-blown installments of the series: we can play the part of one of the great independent wrestling stars, each of which has its own range of unique attacks and moves, as well as a specific way of entering the ring, warming up the atmosphere before the fight. In addition to the traditional career mode and on-line multiplayer, a mode called Create-a-Superstar was also added, in which we create from scratch our own star of the ring and run it through subsequent rungs of the wrestling way to the top. Compared with the editions of PCs and consoles, WWE 2K above all differs with the level of graphic fidelity and with a simplified control model, adapted to mobile devices.

A game which combines elements of platform, logic, and action games. In MonsterBag you play as a small monster named V, who is trying to find his missing female friend in a world full of humans and hostile beasts. Throughout the adventure you have to beat a dozen or so unique levels filled with different kinds of danger, the greatest of which are humans. However, at the same time they serve the role of “platforms”, which you must use to reach new regions. While jumping around, hanging down from edges and doing flips, you must avoid getting spotted by any human. In order to distract them, V can use his special abilities, such as telekinesis. At the end of some levels there is a boss fight. The graphics in MonsterBag are based on a simple, though characteristic line drawings, as well as the use of bright, contrasting colors. Despite its friendly-looking world, the game is rather brutal and animations of death are surprisingly vivid.

Adventure, Horror, Indie Games, Point-and-click, Singleplayer.

Another installment of the adventure game series about ghost hunters. It was developed by the independent studio Darkling Room, the creators of the critically acclaimed Dark Fall series. The Last Crown: Blackenrock is a story spin-off which focuses on the unresolved mystery from The Lost Crown: A Ghosthunting Adventure. This way, the production is a sort of a interquel of the first and the second part of the story. Nigel Danvers, the protagonist of the title’s predecessors, decides to investigate the source of the visions that haunt him. A name “Blackenrock” appears in all of them. Together with his partner, Lucy Reubans, he goes back to the seaside town of Saxton, armed in special equipment for paranormal activity detection. These devices are the biggest novelty in the game. Last Crown: Blackenrock is a point ‘n’ click adventure game with both FPP and TPP cameras. Similarly to its predecessors, the title features black-and-white graphics — only the most important objects use different colors.
