An original, multiplayer-oriented card game created specifically for VR goggles. The player controls a 3D avatar chosen from among 52 characters. The player observes their avatar from a third-person view and the gameplay focuses on building up the deck. During subsequent battles and encounters with other players, one expands their deck with new cards. Each card has its different, unique properties and juggling them appropriately is the key to success here. Apart from the multiplayer component, the game offers a single player experience - in this case, the opponents are controlled by the game's advanced AI. High-quality visuals allowed the creators to implement effects such as one that synchronizes the avatar's lip movements with words spoken by the player. Ascension VR was released both for PCs and mobile devices. Owning a VR set is required to play this game.

Fighting, 2D, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Platformers, Splitscreen, Singleplayer.

Inspired by such titles as Super Smash Bros., an unusual fighting game with platformer elements. The action takes place in Aether, a war-torn fantasy world in which people from various civilizations can manipulate the elements – Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. The heroes we control try to learn about the roots of the endless conflict, which takes loads of fighting. The gameplay of Rivals of Aether, designed by Dan Fornace, comes down to fighting numerous battles on numerous 2D arenas. During combat, you may not only choose from a wide array of strikes and special skills (each character has three of the latter), but also take advantage of the design of the arenas, which are filled with elements such as walls, platforms, branches, or roofs. Apart from the single-player Story Mode, the game also features many more highlights – the Abyss, in which you face waves of enemies (either single or in co-op) or Versus - its variation consisting of competing with friends. Interestingly, you can play 1v1 or 2v2 via the Internet or in the split-screen mode. The title features old-school 2D pixel art visuals.

Another installment in the jRPG game series developed by Nihon Falcom studio, which closes the Trails in the Sky trilogy. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd takes place half a year after the events from the previous installment. The player starts his adventure aboard an aircraft flying under the banner of the Empire of Erebor. Kevin Graham – the main protagonist of this game – is tasked with retrieving a mysterious artifact lying on the bottom of the Valeria Lake located in the realm of Liverl. The gameplay builds on exploration, searching for useful items, and completing diverse tasks including both main missions and side quests. The game also features fighting the encountered foes – battles take place on a tactical grid, and the key to success lies in the proper switching between the characters’ abilities and coming up with the optimal strategy. The third installment introduces a number of new opponents, who exhibit certain unique abilities. The game also develops the foregoing mechanics with the turn bonuses. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd features colorful visuals that resemble the style of Japanese animation.

A continuation to a jRPG bearing the same title. The game is part of a larger universe known from the The Legend of Heroes series. Trails of Cold Steel II begins a month after the events depicted in the first installment. The civil war in Erebonia began for good. Rean's goals are to find the remaining students from the Seventh Grade, as well as to put an end to the bloody conflict, which has torn the protagonist's native country apart. Although the experience is based on the gameplay formula of the previous installment, the creators decided to introduce a few changes. The so-called Tactical Link System, which provided new combos and other tactical abilities used in conjunction with other characters with whom the protagonist has established relationships, appears in this game in the company of the new feature - Overdrive Mode - which allows the linked team-members to continuously execute attacks during even up to 3 turns in a row. Exploration was improved as well - the player traverses the extensive locations on foot, aboard a customizable airship, on horseback, or by a motorcycle. Furthermore, the protagonist can recruit allies from among the NPCs scattered throughout the game world. The game features decent-quality graphics inspired by manga style.

A continuation to the well-received game The Red Solstice, created by the Ironward studio. Contrary to the original game though, Solstice Chronicles is a typical twin-stick shooter inspired by games such as Alienation or Helldivers. The player's task is to eliminate hordes of enemies, obtaining new weapons and developing the character. The story revolves around a mysterious virus that turns humans into bloodthirsty mutants. A handful of survivors have managed to escape from the Earth and find shelter on the surface of Mars, though many things suggest that the threat followed them. The player's goal is to obtain the medicine and stop the epidemic before it spreads on the entire Red Planet. Four character classes differing in their weapons and skills were included in the game. The player gains access to more powerful abilities when they reach higher character levels. The available weaponry includes rifles which can be acquired at any time, as well as special weapons. The so-called "brutal weapons" are significantly more powerful, but their use is greatly limited. The core of Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action is the campaign, which can be completed solo, or in the split-screen co-op mode.

A real-time strategy created by CyberphobX studio. The player assumes the role of Harvey Croft, a rookie police commander whose main task is to capture the mysterious leader of a crime syndicate called Imperio. The gameplay is comprised of managing the precinct, coordinating individual officer's actions, and generally-understood crime fighting on the streets of fictional city of Newport Falls. The last goal is possible thanks to obtaining evidence and using it to find the culprits. In Police Tactics: Imperio, budget and resource control are of primary concern. By racking up high-profile arrests, the player unlocks new precincts, units, and upgrades. Our subordinates get promoted to officers, or detectives, and as the time goes, we upgrade our garage with new police cars, or even helicopters which allow for better access to crime scenes. An interesting aspect of the game is the presence of German and American police cars. Additionally, the news about events in the game world are relayed by a radio, modeled after similar devices used by American law officers.

The main feature of this add-on is a new playable faction in form of Morgawr – an aquatic race specializing in naval battles and animal control. Like previous sides of the conflict, Morgawrs have unique buildings, units, technologies and characters. Most importantly, though, the arrival of this race came along with expansion of the game’s world to include seas and oceans, and naval fights allow for usage of naval or air units, and even sea monsters. There are a few exclusive mechanics for such skirmishes that were not present in base game. Apart from that, enemies using the same kind of weapon can be found throughout the levels. Therefore, the player has to constantly remain in control of the situation, preventing the enemy from both hitting the player's machine and cutting off its escape route. A casual detective game with hidden objects, based on the license of a popular police procedural TV series, NCIS. The game has a similar feel to CSI: Hidden Crimes, a title of the same genre released two years earlier. We are thrown into various investigations, led by the titular agents in many different locations. We visit crime scenes, interrogate the witnesses, cataloguing and analyzing the evidence and clues we find. NCIS: Hidden Crimes is built from typical genre elements, such as searching for hidden items or solving varied logic puzzles. However, the developers offer a wide range of challenges, introducing six different approaches to the investigation and nine types of minigames. The license of the series doesn’t limit itself to name only – the cases are handled by the characters known from the screen, such as agent Gibbs, or forensic specialist Abby.

An important element of Lone Echo are its environmental puzzles, which have you perform actions like repairing broken ship’s modules etc. Apart from a single player campaign, the game offers team-based multiplayer, called Echo Arena. Two five-people teams need to throw a flying disc into the opponent’s goal. As a whole, Lone Echo is characterized by high-quality graphics.

Our job is to conduct turn-based battles on the hexagonal grid covering the maps. The battles are large in scale, with the player controlling whole divisions of troops. The game contains an interesting feature – randomized turns. The order of turns is not fixed, while the engine decides which of the units are capable of making a move in the given turn. The Tide Turns is a highly complex title, characterized by historical consistency. The battles employ real units, while the course of each encounter is influenced by landform or soldiers’ morale.
