Exploring underground dungeons, we'll face new opponents and new types of traps.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is an original mix of action game and a turn-based strategy developed by the Japanese studio Intelligent Systems. The game is set in a steampunk world. Action in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M takes place in the 19th century London invaded by aggressive creatures from outer space. During our adventures we control a four-person unit of soldiers which is a part of the elite S.T.E.A.M formation. Our job is to fend off the invaders. Combat is turn-based. In battle, we have to wisely manage our resources and rely on tactical actions, like flanking or ambushing our enemies. As we play, our soldiers get more powerful equipment, making them more effective in combat. We observe the action from a third-person perspective, just like in many action games. The game features fully-3D visuals.

The second stand-alone expansion for Company of Heroes 2, the game developed in 2013 by the Relic Entertainment studio. As the subtitle of the add-on suggests, in the game we return to the Western Front of World War II during the famous German counter-offensive in the Ardennes. In contrast to the first expansion that focused on multiplayer mode, this time the developers decided to concentrate on the single player campaign. During 18 subsequent missions telling a single, coherent story we take charge of the American units fighting against the forces of Nazi Germany. Game develops dynamically depending on our decisions, and the key to success is to gain experience, plan tactically and wisely manage a very limited supply of people and equipment. Technical aspects of the game remained unchanged, but the developers decided to introduce three new American companies with unique officers.

StarDrive 2 brings a continuation to a complex strategy set in space and created in 2013 by the independent developer Zero Sum Games. The player encounters plenty of alien races in possession of advanced technologies, and the key to success is to conduct diplomatic actions appropriately and make alliances. Obviously, the player will not avoid fighting hostile factions or space pirates, thus it is equally important to develop one's equipment and weaponry. Also, the player will have to hire mercenaries whose job will be to govern different planets or to become the head of the player's fleet. The single-player experience is complemented by the arena mode, which gives an opportunity to fight quick skirmishes against the AI.

Developed by Johan Nagel in cooperation with Slitherine Strategies, Vietnam ’65 is an unusual turn-based strategy game set in the period of the Vietnam War. The action of the game takes place in 1965 in the Ia Drang Valley, located near the border with Cambodia, where the American government dispatched a powerful military support in order to prevent the unification of this part of the country under a single, communist flag. The gameplay builds on the proprietary “hearts and minds” mechanics – instead of waging an open war, a player has to gain favor with the natives and bring the Vietcong’s inhumane practices to naught. The developers ambitiously wanted to show the reality of the Vietnam War, which, apart from the conventional military operations, featured psychological warfare. The game features mediocre visuals; however, the cross-platform gameplay runs smooth for owners of both PC / Windows and mobile devices.
