Another fighting game based on the cult manga by Akira Toriyama developed by Spike under the supervision of Namco Bandai. The players can take part in the events presented in the Dragon Ball Z animated series as well as previously unknown side episodes. There are over 70 characters at our disposal, including the popular heroes (Goku, Vegeta) and the main adversaries (Freeza and Buu). Duels take place on extensive, destructible arenas. Compared to previous works of the studio, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast offers more freedom of movement in the air and better combat system on the ground. The graphics as well as characters’ facial expressions are also more detailed. Apart from a single player story campaign, the title offers the possibility of playing in a competitive multiplayer mode.

The second DLC expansion for Mass Effect, a game released in 2007 by studio BioWare, which specializes in cRPG genre. After installing the expansion one can dock in Alliance’s special station called the Pinnacle. The station is a military training facility. In comparison to Bring Down the Sky, the expansion that was released a year earlier, Pinnacle Station doesn’t add a single, consistent plotline. Instead, it allows the player to meet some new characters and participate in a series of 13 unrelated, increasingly difficulty missions. Completing them all should take about 2, 3 hours. Each quest has slightly different rules and among the available game modes there are Survival (fighting waves of enemies), Hunt (one receives valuable seconds for each killed enemy), Capture the Flag and Time Trial. For winning the missions one can receive money, weapons, armor and even the station itself.

Burnout 2: Point of Impact stands by the solutions originating from it’s predecessor, centering on dynamic arcade races, beefed up by spectacular crashes observed from different camera angles. The basic gameplay mode is the championship, in which our victories unlock access to new race tracks, vehicles, or duels with demanding enemies, resulting in car rewards. The game also includes a chase mode, in which we take control of a police vehicle, trying to intercept a felon before he reaches the finish line. One of the characteristic elements of Burnout2 is the famous Crash mode, in which instead of racing our task is to cause a crash with the highest possible number of vehicles involved, while the game rewards our actions with appropriate amounts of cash.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Commander's Challenge is a spin-off to the popular strategy game series C&C: Red Alert, developed for console players exclusively. Created by Electronic Arts, the game is actually a slightly cut version of the Uprising expansion, available to the owners of PCs some couple of months earlier. There is no regular story campaign in this game, instead, the main focus is the eponymous Challenge Mode. After choosing one of the three factions, the players take part in over 50 diverse challenges of varying difficulty level. The mechanics are generally based on tried solutions, but have been a bit simplified and adjusted to the capabilities of the consoles. In subsequent missions the players develop their base, gather resources, and fight in battles, but the array of additional activities is pretty big, and requires the player to employ different strategies. Along with the progress in the game, players unlock access to new challenges, units and technology.
