A multiplayer-oriented TPP action game developed by United Front Games. The plot of SMASH+GRAB takes place in a grim future, in a world governed by powerful corporations; however, the game features a satirical, exaggerated vide. The players assume the role of gang members participating in an underground entertainment show, in which criminal groups clash to see which team will be the first to steal 50,000$ from the storefronts. Two five-man teams participate in the game. Each group has a leader, his second-in-command, and three normal soldiers. During the fights, we can only use fists and improvised melee tools we have crafted ourselves. As we gain subsequent experience levels, we unlock new skills, accessories and elements to personalize the appearance of our heroes.

Quite obviously, the whole game focuses on trying to get the ball to the hole throughout courses filled with obstacles. What makes Cloudlands: VR Minigolf different from similar games are unique controls. There are no pointers or tips – player’s moves are sent to the controller in 1 to 1 scale, meaning it resembles real-life minigolf. The game features both a career mode for single player and a multiplayer option (through network or on a single device), as well as editor to create your own courses to share with others.

A post-apocalyptic role-playing game by TallTech Studio. It is set in a grim world, in which radiation is not the only threat — one has to be wary also of looter gangs and mutated animals. Mechanics-wise, Krai Mira is similar to classic Fallout games. The game utilizes an isometric view, and the feeling of déja vu is only strengthened by the mostly brown color palette. The gameplay focuses on exploring the environment, completing main quests and side quests, as well as fighting enemies in turn-based combat. As the game progresses, the protagonist gains experience points and levels up while gathering better weapons and armor — curiously, you can create a makeshift armor out of an appropriately prepared tire. The visuals are not exactly stunning, but the atmospheric, ambient music is enjoyable.

You play as a space adventurer, whose task is to look for resources on an alien planet. The main aspects of TerraTech are threefold. The first aspect is exploring varied environments and gathering minerals, which can be transported to Earth or processed. Another aspect is building sophisticated vehicles from the resources you find or parts from other machines. They can be further modified as you see fit, which means you can turn them from transport vehicles to tanks or even planes. The latter two turn out to be very necessary, as the third aspect of the game is fighting enemies and capturing their bases.

We also have access to various weapons such as pistols, machine guns or grenade launchers, but we can also use sickles and crossbows. Besides the campaign, we can also play in a competitive multiplayer and Endless Survival Mode, in which we have to face subsequent hordes of enemies. An MMO game featuring elements of action, real-time strategy and role-playing. The game was created by NetDragon; it is a free-to-play title that uses microtransactions. Tiger Knight: Empire War is set in the second century AD. The player picks a side and assumes the role of a general - the game features Rome, the Parthian Empire, the Kushan Empire and the Chinese Han dynasty - those were the largest empires of the period. The gameplay formula was based on two pillars. Spectacular, fast-paced action is the first of them; the player takes part in direct combat against enemy forces. The game stands out with an extensive combat system - not only is one's effectiveness dependent on the weapon and technique we use, but also on the kind of armor the enemy is using. The second of the pillars is constituted by the strategic aspects. What is significant here, is that the player has to command armies comprised of both regular soldiers and commanders gifted with special abilities. Being able to apply adequate tactics, as well as putting one's units into a formation that corresponds to the topography of the battlefield is the key to success here. Furthermore, the game comes with a set of diverse modes - those allow us to take part in multiplayer skirmishes, as well as to cooperate with our team during a full-spectrum conflict against the AI.

Gameplay is based on two-person competition - players take part in various contests, playing as pirates, gunslingers, and other characters. What makes 1-2-Switch stand out from the crowd of other similar games is that we are not watching the screen while playing, but facing our opponent face to face. Thanks to that unique approach, the screen is used mostly for showing the score. 1-2-Switch also makes a good use of the console's unique features, allowing every player to use one of its detachable controllers.

A side-scrolling horror/adventure game. Detention is a debut project of Taiwanese studio Red Candle Games. The action of the game takes place in Taiwan during the 1960s, in the middle of martial law that lasted 37 years. We are taken to Greenwood, a high-school placed in a mountainous area. The players assume the role of two students who discover that the school became inhabited by wicked monsters known from local legends. Their mission is to survive, as well as to discover the origins of the mysterious evil. Detention is built on exploration, gathering items, and solving riddles, all performed through a classic point-and-click interface. Our protagonists are practically helpless in open combat, so their only way to deal with the danger is to hide and lay traps, and escape if need be. The two-dimensional visuals are quite interesting, as the developers were inspired by the mythology of China and Taiwan, as well as Taoist and Buddhist beliefs.

A rougelike side-scroller developed by Frozenbyte. The players assume control over a ragtag group of heroes a little over their prime. The team receives a final task – escorting two princesses to a special academy. Unfortunately, the mission won’t be easy, as there will be numerous dangers lurking along the way. We begin the game with choosing three characters from an available pool of twelve different heroes. The game sees the trio defend the princesses against continuous waves of varied opponents that force us to switch tactics according to the situation at hand. Each hero carries unique equipment, as well as his own set of spells – in all, we can make use of over 300 spells and 200 items. Our mission will see the players travel through 14 different environments. The clashes are randomly generated, making each playthrough different and challenging. Interestingly enough, loosing (either through death or the capture of princesses) means having to start over from scratch. Has-Been Heroes is characterized by simple, cartoonish art-style.

Adventure, Package, Remaster/remake, Singleplayer, Thriller, Visual Novel.

A compilation of remastered editions of two adventure games developed by Spike Chunsoft - a Japanese studio. The Nonary Games includes 2009's 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward - a game which came out three years later. Since the plots of the two games are strongly connected, it is recommended to play through them in chronological order. Both games offer a gameplay formula based on two branches - the story-based sequences typical for visual novel as a genre, and the adventure-like sections played from first-person view. During the sequences of the first kind, the player follows the developments in the story and makes different choices from time to time; the other segment of gameplay requires the player to solve puzzles. Compared to their original releases, the games contained within this compilation come with improved visuals. Additionally, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors was enriched with professional voice acting (both in English and Japanese).

A multiplayer action game developed by Pixel Federation. The players take part in space battles using ships built from a hodgepodge of parts found on space junkyards. The parameters and battle role of the individual ships is determined by the type of the ship (from a maneuverable frigate to a heavy battleship) and the chosen armament. Our ships can carry various weaponry, including rockets, lasers, or Gauss cannons. Additionally, we can also make use of useful modules, enabling us to immobilize an enemy or activate a defensive shield. The game revolves around team on team clashes – each match sees intense combat that involves locating our enemies and fighting on long distances – at the same time, the arenas contain numerous objects and space debris forcing us to maneuver or maintain a good heading. Aside from that, we are also given access to a special practice mode.
