An original combination of a shooter and adventure game. The main hero of Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space is John T. Longy, a night shift security guard working in a secret research compound, where experiments on time and space are being conducted. When the compound gets shaken by an explosion, the protagonist is rendered unconscious, and when he wakes up he finds out that the place has been overrun by monsters from outer space. The protagonist’s main objective becomes escaping the toppling building, and discovering the mystery behind the catastrophe on his way out. In Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space you observe the events from the first-person perspective. Exploration is the core of gameplay. While playing, you get to visit over twenty rooms filled with puzzles, based both on physics and manipulation of objects. The game features a unique system of hints, letting you peer into the future in order to find out what should be the solution of a given problem. Besides, an essential part of gameplay is combat against several types of monsters, whose only soft spots are their eyes – this is where you should send bullets if you want to kill the beasts.

The expansion takes place before the events of the base game. In terms of gameplay, Specter of Torment is identical to the base game, combining the elements of a 2D platformer, an RPG, and an action-adventure game. Once again, we observe the game from a side perspective. We explore some new fantastic locations, solve simple environmental puzzles, and fight the enemies. However, Specter has a new move set and skill set at his disposal. Unlike his predecessor, he can climb walls and other environmental objects, which opens new tactical possibilities for the players. The iconic shovel was replaced with a characteristic scythe.

The first large expansion for Hearts of Iron IV – the fourth installment of the popular grand strategy game series created by Paradox Interactive. The add-on, called Together for Victory, focuses on introducing new functions connected with British Commonwealth and the countries that were a part of it during World War II. This results in, among others, new national development trees for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and India, complemented by historical figures and companies, while the whole add-on was designed to either replay the real course of war, or allow a completely abnormal, abstract scenario to play out. Thanks to a new autonomy system, the players can set various levels of dependency of subjected nations, and expand upon some of the national ideas, resulting in useful bonuses and technologies. The Commonwealth nations can share technologies, as well as ask their allies to lease them various equipment.

In Stories Untold you play as a person sitting in front of a computer, and your task is to acquaint yourself with a series of eerie recordings. In time, the protagonist immerses themselves in the stories so much that they begin to spot inexplicable things in the nooks of the shabby rooms. The stories take place in varied locations, such as a bedroom or a radio station, all of which are dimply lit to intensify the scary mood. Additionally, the game splendidly captures the atmosphere of the 1980s, in no small part thanks to the unique soundtrack.

Players will have to place the ball in a hole with the smallest number of hits. An original mixture of a platformer and a metroidvania game, developed by Villa Gorilla - a small Swedish studio. The game is set on Mokunama - an island where the player meets the protagonist - a sympathetic beetle. Working as a postman, he stumbles upon traces of a serious affair, the victim of which is an ancient divine being that had been taking care of the land. The insect's goal is to find a way to wake up the sleeping guardian in order to bring peace and order back to the island. What distinguishes Yoku's Island Express from other games of this kind, is that the developer borrowed elements of pinball. The beetle rolls a ball in front of himself - thanks to that ball, he can bounce off flippers installed in the environment in order to reach places difficult to access. The game is played from a side view and the core of the experience is made up of platforming elements, such as exploring, avoiding traps, eliminating adversaries or collecting valuable items.

Compared to other games of the genre, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids distinguishes itself with its extensive scenario – we can experience the story told in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, although the plot – contrary to the movie original – is presented from the perspective of the BB-8 droid. Moreover, the title is more varied than typical match-3 productions. While playing, we unlock various missions and fight enemies. Also, we have a number of special powers at our disposal, which let us deal with increasingly difficult challenges. As we progress, we gain access to the droid’s memories which present interesting scenes from its life.

The Walking Dead: March to War is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer strategy game based on The Walking Dead franchise. It was developed by Disruptor Beam, a studio known for games like Game of Thrones Ascent or Star Trek Timelines. March to War features optional microtransactions. The game takes place near Washington, D.C. some time after the zombie epidemic began. We lead a group of survivors and try to keep them alive in the new, post-apocalyptic reality. In order to do so, we will have to expand and upgrade our base, manage our resources, and complete missions. We will also have to find and recruit other survivors. Each of them has their own story, personality, and abilities which we can level up. All deaths are permanent, so losing a high level survivor can be painful. The so-called Council system plays a crucial role in the game. The Council is made of characters we know from the comic books. Each of them is a skilled survivor, making them great leaders of mission squads. It is almost impossible to achieve victory by playing by ourselves. The Walking Dead: March to War forces to create alliances with other players in order to defeat common enemies.

An online logic game focusing on tight cooperation between the participants, created by the Australian SMG Studio. The players assume the roles of sympathetic, cubic robots whose goal is to reach the platforms bearing the same color as their body. The task is not easy however, as different mechanisms and traps were placed in the levels, such as laser sensors (once activated, shuffle the conditions of the map), or energy beams that can be blocked by the robot bearing the same color, but constitute a deadly threat to others. Since the movements of the robots are usually interconnected, solving the puzzles requires strict cooperation and being able to coordinate the moves of particular robots. Death Squared offers over 100 different levels divided into three game modes, namely the story campaign (for one or two players), the PARTY mode (for two or four players), and the special Vault mode, which is also designed for a two- or four-player experience, and features levels rated by the developers as too difficult to be included in the two modes mentioned above.

Decay of Logos puts you in a fantasy world where family feuds of the royalty cause numerous problems to the rest of the realm. The player assumes the role of a young woman whose village gets destroyed by unidentified invaders wearing royal emblems on their armors. Being the only survivor, the girl seeks revenge and goes out into the world together with her companion Elk, a mysterious creature resembling a deer. While observing the action from the third-person perspective, you travel through a semi-open world, search for valuable items, and establish relations with NPCs. During exploration, you need to solve numerous environmental puzzles – reaching different places requires cracking more or less complicated puzzles, finding a key, or cooperating with your friend. The title features arcade combat in which the heroine uses both melee weapons and magic. Decay of Logos stands out from the crowd thanks to its atmospheric, fairytale-like style.

Whispers of a Machine is a science fiction adventure developed for PCs. The action takes place in the future, at a time when humanity has deliberately retreated in technological development in order to remove the threat of being dominated by advanced artificial intelligences. We play the role of a detective investigating a series of murders in a sleepy city. The game boils down mainly to exploring the location, conducting conversations and solving puzzles.

A sequel to the 2013 metroidvania title, developed by Image & Form. Once again, the players are taken to a unique world that combines steampunk with western setting, this time as a female robot looking for her missing friend. The gameplay of SteamWorld Dig 2 doesn’t depart from the groundwork of its predecessor, focusing on digging underground tunnels to reach places of interest and find treasures we can spend to upgrade our equipment. There are also various enemies to defeat with our more or less fancy weapons. Like the previous works of Image & Form, the game features good-looking cartoonish visuals.

An arcade action-platformer created by Cogg Games Ltd and based on a series of comic strips by William Morris-Julien. The protagonist, a brave Eskimo by the name of Eekeemoo, is the last representative of an ancient order of Eskimo fighters. One day, the land where Eekeemoo lives gets attacked by the evil Dark Shard, who kidnaps his friends, steals the artifact known as the Star Heart, and sends hordes of the undead to this world. The player's goal is to relieve the world of them, free the protagonist's friends, and reclaim the artifact from the hands of the evil being. When exploring four worlds (swamps in the woods, a zone with volcanoes, mountains covered with snow, and the dark domain of the protagonist's nemesis), the player encounters many evil creatures trying to put an end to the protagonist's journey. What weapon the player uses to eliminate their foes depends on the character controlled; at the beginning, the player can experience the game world only as Eekeemoo himself, but as they subsequently free the friends from the hands of the Dark Shard, the player gains access to a troll called Yum Yum (fights with a club), the princess Nim (prefers ranged attacks), and a flying robot called D-Bot.

Ghost Blade HD is a shoot'em up game developed by indie devs from Hucast Games. We take on the role of the Earth Defense Force's best pilot whose job is to defeat Shira, a rogue A.I. that was installed on an abandoned space station located on the outer rim of the Solar System. In Ghost Blade HD we control one of the three superbly armed combat space ships. Gameplay focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses. To win, we have to not only shoot almost all the time, but also avoid the rain of bullets and laser beams fired at us. Along with the primary Story Mode, the game also offers Score Attack, where we have to beat the high scores set by other players from all around the world. We can play alone or in coop with another player. The game features cartoonish, eye-pleasing visuals and a dynamic soundtrack composed by Rafaell Dyll.

An adventure game with horror features, focused around exploration and with unusual visuals. The work of Introversion Software’s team delivered a title set in a system of underground caves and corridors, wrapped in utter darkness. With no flashlights or torches of any kind, we can only navigate using laser-scanning system LIDAR, which displays our surroundings as three-dimensional shapes formed by sparkling points. We do this by pointing a handheld laser – when the rays reflect from an obstacles, the system analyzes them, calculates their position and draws a shape of our surroundings. This image is displayed in a helmet worn by the protagonist. The system designed by developers has many functions that help us orient ourselves during exploration of caves. Those include: addition of color gradient in space depending on how far the points are from the player, the ability to change width of the scanning beam and map mode that shows every scanned and drawn corridor. The labyrinth explored by us hides many secrets, from common wonders of nature (like caves of stalactites and stalagmites) to ruined buildings of ancient cultists.

Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels is the second big DLC for Forza Horizon 3 developed by Playground Games. This time, the players can take part in races where they will drive Hot Wheels cars on crazy, twisted tracks. These are filled not only with launching pads, but also with speed boosters and spirals. The DLC comes with a new mini-campaign (including special challenges) and a dedicated location made of six islands connected by a network of roads. In Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels, players can drive the following vehicles: 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill, 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker, 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod, 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang, 2016 Jeep Trailcat, 2016 Zenvo ST1, 2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38, 2010 Pagani Zonda R, and 1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49. The expansion features high-quality visuals but in terms style, they are much than what we could see in the base game. Everything, including the orange road panels, is colorful here.

Another digital adaptation of the popular board game developed cooperatively by Engine Software and Ubisoft with Nintendo Switch in mind. The gameplay is based on the formula known from the board game original. We move tokens by as many fields as we roll on the dice. While playing, we trade real estates and build houses and hotels that provide us with income since any player has to pay rent if they step into another player’s property. The game takes place on one of three three-dimensional levels such as Classic City, Amusement Park, or Haunted Town. Monopoly for Nintendo Switch offers a wide range of game modes for up to six players. The title utilizes the unique features of Nintento’s console, including HD Rumble, its advanced vibration system.

A second DLC for the real-time strategy game Hearts of Iron IV. Created by Paradox Development Studio, the Death or Dishonor add-on focuses on four European countries, namely: Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia, which after the outbreak of the WWII were caught between the hammer and the anvil – the Third Reich and the USSR. In the expansion, the aforementioned countries receive all new and unique National Focus trees allowing the players to lead the country they choose taking one of the available paths. The four new countries also deliver new events and assets, such as leader portraits, 3D vehicle models, soldier dialogues, and pieces of soundtrack. Also arriving in Death or Dishonor are features like Equipment Conversion (making it possible for the players to upgrade their arsenal by using their older units, or utilizing captured enemy units), and the option to license military technology from other countries or license one’s tech to other governments. Also, the diplomatic features of the game have been developed by fascist countries getting new subject levels like Reichskommissariat, which hold the occupied nations in an iron grip.
