The player also encounters Nyreen, Aria's former friend and a Turian mercenary who once served in special forces. Significantly, Shepard is unable to take his team to the station, which is a unique feature of this DLC - the only companions he has here are the two already mentioned biotics with different goals and motivations. Although the Omega station made its appearance in Mass Effect 2, over 80 per cent of the station's area consists of completely new locations designed specifically for the expansion. Here, the player encounters new kinds of enemies and gets some previously unavailable weapons.
