After the three previous installments, which were average games at best, the developer was given more time to create this new follow-up. Thanks to that, NBA Live 18 brings a few interesting novelties. Above all, the game introduces The One mode - the player creates their own character and takes part in matches in The Streets mode and The League component (the latter is the NBA league). The player works on the skills of their character while experiencing the game, acquires new outfits and tattoos. Apart from that, 12 teams from the WNBA league (women's NBA) were featured, such as L.A. Sparks, Minnesota Lynx or New York Liberty. When it comes to gameplay, the creators prepared more intuitive controls, as well as hundreds of new moves the particular basketball players are popular for. The game offers both single player and multiplayer (competitive and co-op) modes. One can experience the Ultimate Team, and the Takedown modes, but also play friendly matches.

The game is set in an unspecified future, after the Alliance defeated the malevolent Kraken organization. The protagonist, Leo, is a secret agent, who is sent to the former Kraken base in the Arctic to determine if the rumors are true. Since it turns out that Kraken is regrouping there, your task is to stop them from commencing the attack. The gameplay of Evil Factory consists of beating levels in the form of short corridors. You fight single bosses, sometimes accompanied by weaker mooks. As the game progresses, you unlock better weapons and helmets, which give you various bonuses. You can also collect cartridges, which unlock arcade minigames. The game features unique pixel-art 2D visuals.

Another game created by an independent Polish developer, Tomasz Waclawek, who is best known for his 2015 2D platformer Ronin. Immortal Planet takes the players to an icy planet. There, within an ancient tomb, resides a group of undead warriors. In the game you become one of these warriors, who suddenly awakes from his cryogenic sleep for an unknown reason. As you play, the protagonist has to learn the secrets of the planet and escape the tomb, while fighting the ever-watchful guardians he encounters on the way. In terms of gameplay, Immortal Planet is an action RPG with classic isometric view. As the aforementioned warrior, the player traverses carefully designed levels and fights against increasingly stronger opponents. For that, you can use a heavy sword, firearms, and magic. Immortal Planet stands out with its retro yet high-resolution graphics and dark stylistics.

Originally, the project was meant to deliver a remake of the classic game Clock Tower, but ultimately, it evolved into a stand-alone product. Rosemary Reed is the protagonist of the game, The woman arrives at Dr Felton's estate in order to investigate the case of his daughter's disappearance - Celeste went missing several years earlier. It soon turns out, that cultists and supernatural forces are involved, and the protagonist has to fight for her life. The experience is based mainly on exploration of the grim mansion. The in-game goals were made much harder to achieve by the presence of hunters. The protagonist can try to face them using things she can find nearby, but it is far smarter to hide from their sight or run. Throughout her journey, the protagonist learns new abilities and improves those she already has.

The 12th entry in the popular baseball simulator series developed for PlayStation consoles by SIE San Diego. Similarly to the previous installments, MLB: The Show 17 uses the Major League Baseball license which includes numerous professional baseball teams from both USA and Canada, along with their rosters. As always, we are dealing with an extensive baseball simulator with numerous managerial features. The game offers a wide range of game modes, from single matches up to whole seasons. The campaign sees us lead the chosen team, not only during the games, but also deciding upon the choice of players, their training, and transfers. Similarly to the previous years, the player database is updated on-the-fly through a continuous connection with MLB 2017/2018 season servers. The biggest novelty of MLB: The Show 17 is the Retro mode, introducing a gameplay inspired by baseball titles from 8 and 16 bit consoles. Moreover, we are given a number of multiplayer modes.

A story expansion for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, a first-person action RPG released in summer 2016 by Eidos Montreal. A Criminal Past requires the vanilla game in order to work. Mechanics-wise, the DLC doesn’t introduce any meaningful changes to the gameplay. Plot-wise, it is a prequel whose action takes place before the events of the core game and is focused on one of the secret missions that the protagonist, Adam Jensen, took on for Task Force 29. Working undercover as an inmate, the hero is taken to a prison for augmented criminals. His task is to discover what happened to a TF29 operative who has recently gone completely silent.

The game is a typical representative of its genre, although the gameplay has been simplified, compared to similar productions for larger platforms. You play as chosen characters, which you can develop as the game progresses and who are accompanied in battle by AI-controlled supporting units. The battles take place on simple maps with no alternative paths, and last three minutes; the key to victory is assembling an appropriate team, whose members can support each other with their abilities. The game focuses on multiplayer battles, although it also features a single player mode.

The 13th full-fledged installment of a series of popular railway simulators developed by a German studio Trend Verlaag. Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 allows us to assume the role of a train driver, traveling through various areas using a chosen train. We can choose from over 4500 models – from classic steam-powered engines, up to modern diesel or electric engines, each containing a faithfully-recreated, three-dimensional cockpit. The game is characterized by its realistic approach: we need to watch out for railway signs and the current conditions around the track. The world is alive, with vehicular, air, and marine transport taking place all around the player, while local fauna can be seen near the tracks. We can also experience a dynamic day-and-night cycle, and changing weather conditions. The extensive editor is definitely one of the highlights of the game, allowing us to build our own trains, as well as whole locations and tracks.

Although the gameplay is much more accessible than in simulators, fully learning how to play it takes much time because the golf fields are controlled by realistic physics. Everybody’s Golf introduces several novelties in comparison to the previous entries. The first one is character development and customization. At first the player determines the look and clothes of their character and then they improve the character's abilities by completing specific tasks. Another important novelty are the fully open golf fields. The player can freely move, run or even drive through them in a special vehicle. In addition to single player mode, Everybody’s Golf for {PLAT} offers multiplayer modes. There are many gameplay modes available: competition, cooperation, and optional special tasks.

We play as a druid whose job is to bring back the old order after a group of adventurers decided to try and take control of the power of the stars. The game is presented from an isometric perspective. As we play, we mostly explore the game's world, complete quests (there are over seventy of them), and fight with the encountered enemies. To achieve victory in combat, we have to skillfully use our hero's and his companion's abilities. Combat takes place in real time, featuring active pause mechanics. As we progress, we gain access to more powerful attacks. We advance our heroes by giving them better equipment or by upgrading the items they already have. Ember features decent visuals.

A three-dimensional sports game dedicated to surfing. The game, developed by Climax, the authors of Sudeki, Bloodforge, and Rocket Knight, offers the ability to attempt to conquer one of the five most popular surfing locations in the world, such as Bells Beach in Australia or Waimea Bay in Hawaii. We are left with six surfers whose abilities and appearance can be customized thanks to a complex character creation system. The gameplay of Surf World Series tries to balance simulation and arcade-oriented gameplay. The competitions are quite spectacular, with the riding itself requiring a lot of effort. Nevertheless, more experienced players can utilize one of the impressive surfing tricks to improve their scores. The players can compare their results through official online rankings, take part in one of forty five single player challenges, or engage in multiplayer matches for up to fifteen players. A two-dimensional RPG title with side perspective from Dingaling Productions studio. The story of LISA is set in a grim post-apocalyptic future, in which all women have died due to a mysterious cataclysm. We play as a drug addict Brad Armstrong who sets on to find Budda – his adoptive daughter and most likely the last woman on Earth. The long and dangerous journey is interrupted with flashbacks that shed some light on the background behind world’s end and the story of Brad himself. Gameplay in LISA comes down to exploration, making moral choices that affect the world both at micro and macro scales and taking part in bloody turn-based battles. Brad can go through all this accompanied by some of the thirty available non-playable characters, although whether or not they will last to the very end of the story depends on our good will. The hero can sacrifice himself in times of crisis, but he can also send others to a certain death.
