The first expansion to Might and Magic: Heroes VI, which was released in the autumn of 2011 and was developed by the Black Hole Games studio; unlike the vanilla version, the new production has been created by the team at Limbic Entertainment. The story of the Pirates of the Savage Sea takes place a year after the events known from the base version of the campaign. More and more ships go missing on the titular Savage Sea, and rumors begin to spread, about these happenings being more than just mere consequences of bad weather. You step into the shoes of the legendary hero Crag Hack, and are commissioned by the Pirate Council to uncover the true fate of the missing vessels. The mini-campaign of this newest expansion consists out of only two missions. Apart from that, the title features a new map, as well as new heroes, artifacts, a previously unavailable dynasty weapon, a new creature – the Thunderbird, and the ability to recruit elementals at a special structure on the campaign map.

An online card game taking place in the Might & Magic universe, a popular fantasy universe known from cult-classic franchise of cRPGs and turn-based games. The game from Ubisoft Montreal focuses on player on player duels using pre-made card decks containing various types of military units and battle spells. Each army is led by a hero whose abilities determine what kind of units and spells to use. The battles take place on a 4x4 board that is used to throw the cards, while our objective is to deprive our opponent of all his health points. Each won duel is rewarded with experience points and virtual currency that can be used to add new cards to our deck. The game introduces cross-platform play for PC and mobile users as well as rich selection of social media interactions.

A refreshed version of the classic jRPG Final Fantasy X-2 which was a direct sequel to the tenth installment of the popular series developed by Square (currently known as Square Enix). The story of the title takes place two years after the events shown in the predecessor, and the main protagonists are two girls well known from Final Fantasy X, Yuna and Riku. They are accompanied by a completely new character named Paine. The three girls find themselves in the middle of a growing conflict between factions and ideologies that appeared in Spira after Sin was destroyed. The gameplay mechanics are similar to the ones in Final Fantasy X HD. The only difference is the limitation in the number of party members – during the whole game player controls only the three aforementioned female protagonists. Similarly as the previous game, Final Fantasy X-2 HD features refreshed textured, high resolution models, improved cutscenes and support for achievements/trophies.

An MMORPG created by Trion Worlds studio. The players enter the world of Telara, which struggles to repel the invading forces of Regulos the Destructor. The defenders, however, are split into two warring factions: Guardians, and Defiants. RIFT lets us create a hero based on one of the four archetypes (warrior, primalist, rouge, and mage), and set out to complete various story and side quests, exploring the fantasy world and fighting encountered enemies. During the gameplay, we have to face not only AI-controlled monsters, but also, after joining one of the aforementioned factions, players belonging to the opposing organizations. One of the interesting mechanics in the game are the invasions – to stop the influx of beasts flowing into Telara through randomly located gates, the heroes have to form up groups to repel the attacks. During spectacular skirmishes, we use a wide array of combat abilities, which are unlocked in the course of the gameplay. The game is complemented by high-quality visuals, and offers a free-to-play model with optional paid subscription.

Trying to find her way out of Aperture laboratories, she gets stopped by an artificial intelligence that manages the compound. The AI puts the protagonist against new challenges. In order to deal with them, the heroine has to prove her knowledge of the laws of physics and make a good use of a special device able to move objects and open worm-hole portals. In the sequel, the developers gave the players much more freedom of action. This not only enriched the gameplay, but also made it much more demanding. Portal 2 features a co-op mode, offering an additional campaign with a separate storyline.

The game is powered by an improved graphical engine that offers various zoom levels, and four different camera shots (every 90 degrees).

An expansion to XCOM 2 developed by Firaxis Games. Its story focuses on the titular Chosen – a new type of agents working for ADVENT, who try to capture the leader of the XCOM group. To achieve this, those merciless specialists kidnap his followers and torture them to gather valuable information. They are so effective that they can even affect the strategic layer and destroy our global operations. XCOM 2: War of the Chosen introduces three rebel factions (Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars), with which we must keep good relationships if we hope to gain their assistance. Aliens also received reinforcements, with three more deadly species in their ranks. Additionally, ruins of long gone metropolises are inhabited by the Lost, consisting of mutated humans who hate both us and ADVENT. Thanks to this expansion, the campaign has been expanded with new locations and objectives. There are also additional abilities for the soldier class and a newly introduced SITREP system, which randomizes some parts of missions to bring more variety to the game. The list of novelties is closed with a special challenge mode, in which the players engage in tasks given by creators themselves.

Silent Hunter III is the third installment in the World War II submarine simulator series. The game offers us four types of U-boots in ten different development versions. All interiors and onboard devices (we can use all of them) are rendered in 3D with highest attention to detail. Each member of our crew has their own individual model and a skill set on which we base their duties. Moreover, they gain experience as we play making them more useful and reliable. Silent Hunter III focuses on a campaign during which we climb up the military rank ladder. The game comes with a level editor, in addition to single player missions, that allows players to create their own levels. Developers also included a multiplayer mode for those who are interested.

Similar to the previous installments, spectacular duels filled with explosions are at the core of the experience, as each of the in-game ninjas has powerful special abilities at their disposal. The player can take part in countless battles, choosing from among over 40 characters included - the fans of the Naruto Shippuden series are definitely familiar with those, but the game features one fighter from Tekken 6 as well. Apart from the duel mode typical for this genre, the player will also find an extensive story mode that focuses on adventures of Naruto and Sasuke - one can go through the most important encounters from the original anime series in this mode. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 offers 23 interactive 3D arenas that are also destructible. What is completely new here however, is an opportunity to play in co-op mode for up to 4 players.
