Compared to its predecessor, the game introduces a series of changes, improvements and completely new concepts - above all, one can swim or glide in mid-air, fill cavities or player-made pools with water, and place three times more blocks on top of one another while constructing. What is also worth noticing, is the multiplayer mode, which allows up to three other players to join one's game.

You have to follow a diet and train, which will help you face ever stronger enemies, but to do that, you will need to have a well-paid job to cover the costs of, for example, exercising equipment. The game features old-school pixel visuals, which resemble video games and films from the ’80s and ‘90s.

Mario Kart 8 contains several multiplayer variants, including online as well as local game modes (split-screen, or a wireless mode for up to eight players). The new edition contains all of the content present in the original game, including released add-ons, at the same introducing new tracks and characters, such as Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, King Boo, Dry Bones, or Bowser Jr.

For State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition the developers primarily focused on enhancing the visuals, which means better textures, animations and special effects. Also, they slightly changed the User Interface. The original game was expanded with the contents of two previously released DLC packs: Breakdown and Lifeline. On top of that, there are brand new missions, weapons and vehicles as well as about 30 minutes of new music composed by Jesper Kyd.

He does not linger for long and decides to rescue all of them as well as to take his revenge on the white torturers. In Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Freedom Cry the gameplay revolves around the formula developed for the sake of Edward Kenway’s adventures – the expansion offers nine elaborate missions constituting a story mini-campaign. Moreover, players can also enjoy new weapons, such as blunderbusses, bombs, and machetes.

An online sailing simulator developed by the Ukrainian developer, Game-Labs, whose members worked previously on the STALKER and Total War series. The action of the game is set between the sixteenth and the eighteenth century - a period within the so-called Age of Sail. The gameplay focuses on the exploration of the enormous game world, where the players can trade, take assignments, and participate in realistic sea battles. The game features faithfully recreated weapons from the period, including various types of cannons, mortars, and carronades. One of the game's characteristic, and very realistic, features is the ship handling, as the player can control each sail separately and the crew management is also rather complex. The visuals are powered by the Unity engine, which makes the game look better than one could expect. Also, the creators' dedication to recreate the ships as authentic as possible deserves praise.

The story told in the game is linear and the campaign is split into five chapters, each one consisting of several levels. The gameplay is based on fighting hordes of enemies – all sorts of creatures coming straight from hell as well as even more powerful bosses. Fortunately, the protagonist is far from being defenseless against those enemies – in combat he uses a vast arsenal of creative weapons, starting with classic shotguns and rocket launchers to the famous Stakegun or the so-called Shuriken-do Gun. Painkiller is characterized by high-quality graphics and realistic physics simulated by Havok 2.

Regardless of platform (the game was released for PC Windows as well as stationary and portable consoles), the game features pleasant visuals.

The game references such franchises as Burnout or Destruction Derby, because in this competition causing as much damage as possible during the race is as much important as who crosses the finish line first. The player takes part in brutal races taking place on 48 different tracks filled with shortcuts and destructible objects. The game is arcade in terms of the driving physics, though car damage affects both the performance and the handling of the car. Flatout features an extensive single player campaign, during which the player buys new cars and upgrades them gradually. However, multiplayer competition was also included. An unorthodox action game developed by studio EA DICE. The game combines the dynamic of typical first-person perspective shooters with platform game elements. The story of the game takes place in the future, in a large metropolis where every citizen is being watched “for his own good” by a totalitarian government. Among the people who don’t want to be controlled there are the so-called “runners” who mastered the art of parkour that allows them to quickly and effectively move through the concrete jungle. The player assumes the role of a female courier named Faith who is trying to protect the good name of her sister framed into murder. The gameplay consists of series of missions during which Faith uses her skills to move through the roofs and buildings while avoiding guards. In case of confrontation one can eliminate the opponent with fists or by using gunfire taken from the guard.

A humorous science-fiction FPS game with RPG elements. It was developed by Gearbox Software, popular for such games as James Bond 007: Nightfire, Duke Nukem Forever or the Brothers in Arms series. The story takes place on the planet Pandora, colonized and exploited by humans. According to the legends, a vault containing great treasures is located somewhere underneath the planet's surface, and groups of treasure hunters are ceaselessly searching for it. As one of them, the player tries to find the entrance to the vault and helps the inhabitants of the colony. The gameplay mechanics combine shooting sequences with a unique character progression system. The visuals, resembling a comic book, and an online co-op mode for up to four players are the greatest strengths of the game.
