Action of Doom takes place in the near future, and players play the part of a cosmic Marine who, for insubordination, is sent to UAC corporation's secret research facility on Mars. When, in the fallout of an interdimensional gate experiment, the base gets overrun by bloodthirsty monsters from outer space, we have to provide reconnaissance and, of course, eliminate all potential threat. In each of nearly 30 levels of the game the player's task is to find an exit, the keys to open it, and to eliminate all encountered monsters using a wide arsenal of both classic and futuristic weapons. The game features a large dose of brutality, claustrophobic atmosphere, and three-dimensional graphic design.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City

A set of two story DLCs for the fourth installment in the classic Grand Theft Auto series. It was published as a standalone game, not requiring the base game to launch. The set introduces two separate stories taking place in Liberty City, the metropolis known from GTA III and IV. The Lost and Damned focuses on a biker gang, known as The Lost, trying to gain the upper hand over a competitive criminal organization. The Ballad of Gay Tony casts the player in the role of a bodyguard protecting a night-club king indebted to the wrong kind of people, who are trying to get their money back by any means necessary. Apart from new missions, Episodes from Liberty City brings a handful of improvements and new features. Among these, it is worth mentioning new weapons and an expanded array of vehicles. The player can now use the parachute as well. Additionally, the creators implemented a multiplicity of new activities, mini-games and many multiplayer mode improvements.

In the game we play as a woman named Chell, who wakes up inside of scientific research complex Aperture, where she has to go through a series of tests. Our task is to get through the maze of rooms and corridors of the facility using a prototype weapon with properties reminiscent of Gravity Gun known from Half-Life. It gives the ability to create title portals, connecting any two points in space.

During the game, the Sims' living quarters can be modified by choosing from a wide range of furniture, decorations and accessories, as the game progresses, you unlock additional activities and locations. A certain novelty is the ability to shape the history of whole families. When your character achieves their goals and retires, you can unlock new interests and career paths for next generations. Thus e.g. the grandfather's achievements can inspire his children or grandchildren to choose a similar career path.

The Banner Saga 3 is the third game of the turn-based strategy games series with RPG elements, developed by Stoic and inspired by Viking culture and beliefs. The plot continues the story from the previous games of the series. Once again, we lead a caravan of brave warriors who, in the face of the impending end of the world, have to defeat evil once and for all. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, not much has changed. The game is still a turn-based strategy with RPG elements. We will meet many NPCs, some of them will join us, and some will give us various quests to do. In combat, we lead a group of heroes who have different abilities and equipment. We can set up a camp to level up our warriors and equip them with better items between the battles. The Banner Saga 3 has a bit more darker, hand drawn 2D visuals that bring to mind Disney animated movies.

My Memory of Us

A two-dimensional adventure game with platformer features from the independent Polish team at Juggler Games. It takes players to a fictional city ruled by the Evil King and his army of robots. Certain districts have been separated from others by a high wall, and this ghetto is used to contain the so called “worse part of society”. The players take control of two kids trying to survive in the cruel new reality. My Memory Of Us uses side-view camera angle to present the world, and the controlled duo must support each other to overcome all obstacles and solve all puzzles. One of the game’s selling points is a simplified dialogue system based on symbols, as well as its setting being inspired by actual life in Poland under German occupation during World War II, especially inside Jewish ghettos. It also stands out with the monochromatic colors of its visuals.

Our team receives completely new tasks, such as capturing enemy soldiers, destroying artillery emplacements, or sabotaging a prototype plane. Each hero has a set of useful abilities, with sniper fire or distracting enemies with cigarettes being only the tip of the iceberg. The unit receives some help from the locals: a woman from Dutch resistance, and a Yugoslavian major. The sequel of the well-received racing game entitled Colin McRae: DiRT that set a completely new direction for the racing game series by Codemasters, labeled with the name of the tragically deceased Scottish racing driver. DiRT 2 focuses on dynamic off-road tournaments in which we can sit behind the wheel of several licensed cars. The new career mode was designed similarly to that of GRID — while traveling around the world, we take part in races and gradually build our reputation. As we progress, we establish friendships with other aces of motorsports such as Travis Pastrana or Ken Block who invite us to exclusive tournaments with valuable prizes. The game has a typical youth style, although it retains the class of its predecessors. From among the introduced novelties, the most notable ones are enhanced gameplay mechanics, the improved Flashback feature, and significantly expanded multiplayer.

DiRT 3

The third full-fledged installment belonging to the incredibly popular racing-themed franchise developed by Codemasters. The DiRT subseries has cultivated traditions initiated in the late 1990s by the Colin McRae Rally series. After the previous game, which emphasized off-road competition, DiRT 3 constitutes a return to the original concept behind the main Colin McRae series, bringing back rally competition in its most classic form (the game uses the official WRC licenses). However, this third iteration still introduces a massive number of novelties, such as stunt arenas from the X-Games competitions, or a completely new type of contest, that is the so-called Gymkhana - it was popularized by one of the most famous drivers in the world, Ken Block. Gymkhana is all about being fast and showing off at the same time - a designated route has to be completed as quickly as possible, but the player is rewarded with points for performing various stunts along the way. As usual, a wide set of licensed cars is at the player's disposal here, many of them originating in different time periods. Also, DiRT 3 features buggies and pickups - those are typically used in off-road competitions.
