Adventure, FPP, Humorous, Indie Games, Action Adventure, Singleplayer.
A humorous action adventure game and the debut title from Crows Crows Crows. The action of Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist takes place in Europe during a hot summer that made history as a result of a series of thefts of some of the most valuable works of art. The players assume the role of a thief that committed those crimes and his next target is a vault in a highly-secured manor full of valuables. Completing the game should not take more than a few dozen minutes during which we will be carefully exploring the manor and trying to avoid its security systems. The game is presented in a very funny form, though, as a game developed by a completely disorganized group of programmers who constantly complain about failing to complete each element of the production. Therefore, uncovering of the subsequent developer jokes only serves to add to the fun.

An unusual combination of fantasy adventure and stealth games, developed by Frozenbyte, the creators of such series as Trine and Shadowgrounds. In the title, we assume the role of a seasoned killer, Shadwen, who is given the task of murdering a king. However, during the mission, the protagonist encounters an orphan named Lily, which significantly influences the gameplay mechanics—we have to decide whether or not to expose the child to the sight of blood or use alternative ways of eliminating enemies. The killer we control possesses considerable skills in terms of acrobatics, remaining hidden, and surprise attacks, although a direct confrontation usually gets her killed. The characteristic feature of Shadwen is the fact that time flows only when the protagonist moves. It allows us to plan our next move calmly and precisely as well as to prepare intricate traps with the use of a number of interactive objects.

A mobile sniper game developed by Glu Mobile, starring Jason Statham – a popular action movie star. In Sniper X, we assume the role of a member of an elite paramilitary organization – SPEAR, tasked with fighting terrorists in situations that prevent other special forces from acting. The gameplay consists of making clean shots in the direction of the enemies located on the map, but sometimes we may have to target drones or enemy vehicles. In the course of the gameplay, the difficulty level grows, and the maps may contain more targets, which forces us to act quickly, as to not get hit ourselves. As a reward for completed missions, we are rewarded with virtual currency and experience points, as well as new weapons, that may be a better or a worse choice, depending on the mission at hand. The whole game is complemented by eye-catching, slightly cartoonish 3D visuals.

A refreshed edition of the classic System Shock (1994). The original game gained recognition thanks to the unique combination of employed gameplay mechanics - a mixture of an FPP shooter with both RPG and adventure elements. Both the mechanics and plot remain unchanged in the enhanced edition - the player assumes the role of a hacker who faces a dangerous AI inside a military research complex belonging to the TriOptimum corporation. The game is different to the original release mainly in terms of technicalities, offering higher screen resolution settings (in the widescreen mode as well). Apart from that, the devs from Night Dive (who created this edition) implemented an option to look around with mouse, which was not present in the original release. Also, three independent control schemes were added. Many technical issues that were considered the original System Shock's main flaw were solved in the new release.

A multiplayer-oriented first-person shooter created by IllFonic - a developer popular mainly for an acclaimed online game Nexuiz. The game begins fifty years after the outbreak of a zombie epidemic, as a result of which the remainders of humanity had to find shelter in city-states ruled by the military. The tragedy, instead of leading to the unification of the dying human race, led to a war over the remaining resources. The gameplay focuses on dynamic multiplayer competition in six different PvP modes - teams of players fight one another for resources and control over strategic areas. The experience is diversified with a character development system, which is typical for the genre, as well as with zombie groups located on the maps. However, zombies do not simply serve the role of just another threat, because the players can use them against the opposition in a variety of ways. In Moving Hazard, using the dead to one's advantage effectively is crucial for success.

Our task in Marvel Avengers Academy is to educate a new generation of heroes, so even though we meet well-known characters like Loki, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man or Captain America, they all are much younger, less experienced, and burdened with all the typical problem of a teenager. We have to manage the eponymous school, create timetables, and organize various activities and events for our pupils. Breaks between classes can be filled by sending our superheroes on missions to test their progress. Another important thing is taking care of the emotional development of characters, who are looking for love, form groups of friends, and face the problems of puberty.

An adventure horror game from Darkling Room studios, creators of the Last Crown series and the Dark Fall trilogy. Once again, we assume the role of Nigel Danvers, a researcher who devoted himself to supernatural cases. This time, he planned to spend Halloween investigating a haunted hotel in small port town. The story of The Last Crown: Midnight Horror draws inspiration from old tales and beliefs related to Celtic festival of Samhain. Even though we will meet old faces, the game has been polished as a standalone production, meaning that knowledge of events from previous titles of the series isn’t necessary. As far as game mechanics go, The Last Crown: Midnight Horrors is a classic adventure game, so we mainly explore locations, collect items and solve puzzles. Some of the latter require usage of authentic gadgets used by modern ghost hunters, while others come down to recreating old pagan rituals. The Last Crown: Midnight Horror stands out with its monochromatic style – for most of the time we are presented with black and white visuals.

To achieve this however, the player has to automatize certain actions using simple in-game programming. The tasks require the player to solve puzzles with numbers on particular pieces, as well as create the right combinations in order to reach the score needed. Human Resource Machine stands out both with an original concept, but also its surrealist visuals and story, which delivers a satire on the modern, corporate world.

Moreover, the player needs to avoid direct confrontations with ocean predators that pose a mortal danger to the heroine. The unusual scenery provides the feeling of isolation and helplessness. The title’s amazing visuals use the power of Unreal Engine 4.

A sequel to the 2013 action game Toukiden: The Age of Demons, created by Japanese studio Omega Force (known for e.g. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors). Unlike its predecessor, which was only available for portable devices, Toukiden 2 was also released for PlayStation 3 and 4 home consoles. The game's mechanics are similar to those of the first installment, so it's still a hack and slash with RPG elements. The setting is again the fantasy world ravaged by armies of demons, and you play as a seasoned warrior, who's dedicated to defeat them. The combat system is based on spectacular combo attacks and requires some agility. When facing boss enemies, you need to use a proper strategy and take advantage of your opponent's weaknesses. Toukiden 2 features an open world, where you can find NPCs, side quests, and various service providers. Apart from the singleplayer campaign, the game also has an online multiplayer mode.

Standpoint is a first-person logic game developed by Unruly Attractions, inspired by the movement mechanics of Xenomorphs in Alien vs. Predator. In Standpoint, we will explore the game's location and solve logic puzzles and riddles using the aforementioned mechanics. Each surface can become the floor, and each obstacle can turn into a useful object if we just change the orientation of the scene in the right way. A mysterious narrator leads us around the rooms. As we progress, he will uncover new important facts about the compound which we are exploring and our role in the game's plot (the way it works here brings Valve's Portal to mind). The game uses Unity engine and has a rather mediocre visuals. Standpoint uses the cel-shading technology which gives the game a characteristic, comic book-like visual style.

A minimalistic twin-stick shooter from the creators of the well-received Shipwreck. The gameplay focuses on flying on a circular board and eliminating incoming waves of enemies. Unlike in the classic title Asteroids, which served as inspiration for the developers of Polychromatic, the player-controlled object can move and shoot in all directions. Enemies come in the form of various geometrical shapes, and in many different colors. The game was created with single player mode in mind, but it also offers some substitute of multiplayer in online statistics and leaderboards. Polychromatic uses simple, two-dimensional visuals, while its soundtrack has been composed by Dan Waters.

An expansion for the turn-based strategy game Gary Grisby's War in the West. It was developed by 2BY3 Games. The expansion consists mostly of 10 new scenarios. You can participate e.g. in Operation Dragoon in the 1944 France or one of the Battles of Monte Casino, called Operation Diadem. Moreover, Operation Torch also allows you to play through an alternate version of World War II, in which Hitler is killed in 1943, and the Third Reich is more powerful than in real life. The gameplay of Gary Grigsby's War in the West: Operation Torch is identical to that in the core game — it's still quite complex, and the visuals are rather minimalistic.

Original survival adventure action with RPG elements, in which we play the role of a homeless dog, looking for his place in a large, randomly generated city. Our job is to take care of your pet's basic needs, such as eating, drinking and resting places. However, the game offers full freedom of action, so the way tasks are carried out depends on the player's preferences.

A narrative puzzle-adventure game referred to as „interactive fiction”, developed by the team of The Coding Monkeys, known so far mostly for the logic game Rules! and the mobile adaptations of popular board games Carcassonne and Lost Cities. Plot of One Button Travel revolves around mysterious scientific discovery, that may, in the near future, revolutionize the lives of all human beings. However, in order for this breakthrough theory to become reality, it is necessary to travel a quite long, difficult road and unravel tons of mysteries and puzzles. The gameplay itself is rather difficult to classify, and reaching the finale of the story requires players to hold a number of interactive conversations and overcome numerous obstacles in form of fairly abstract logical challenges. The game is presented in a heavily experimental form and features minimalist artwork, accompanied by atmospheric soundtrack.
