Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

The action of the game is set in the 13th century and we play as the titular Templar named Celian, who is accompanied by a noblewoman Marie, accused of heresy, and a friend from the order Roland. Together they set off in search of the legendary Holy Grail, uncovering deeply hidden Templar secrets.

The plot of Brink takes place in 2045, when the world is destroyed by a massive flood. The action is set on the deck of a floating, futuristic metropolis called the Ark – an asylum for its creators, their descendants, and tens of thousands of refugees. The overpopulation and resources shortage lead to a conflict.

The game combines elements of action (fight against nightmarish monsters) with logical riddles.

Players can impersonate Nite Owl, Captain Metropolis or Mothman and take part in spectacular clashes with villains.
