A first-person perspective (FPP) sandbox survival horror game. The Forest is the work of an independent studio SKS Games, known mainly for the smartphone hit, End Night. The player assumes the role of a sole survivor of a plane crash. The hero ends up on an isolated island far away from civilization, inhabited by a tribe of cannibalistic mutants. The gameplay focuses on the exploration of land (forest, caves, etc.), survival skills (building a shelter, searching for food, setting traps, etc.), and fighting or avoiding confrontation with opponents. The creators have made an effort to create a lively, fast-changing world, allowing for great freedom of action. As for the technical side, The Forest utilizes Unity 4 engine.

The open-world game structure offers the players large amounts of freedom when it comes to exploration, trading or completing military assignments. The continuation of the multiplayer FPS with strategy elements, being a continuation of the legendary Quake’s freeware modification from 1996. After Valve Corporation bought the title, subsequent versions of the game were powered by Half-Life’s engine, while TF 2 utilizes the modern Source engine. To some extent, mechanics resemble those in the original Team Fortress, which means completing subsequent missions, despite the other team's efforts to prevent that. There are 9 well-balanced classes which feature unique abilities. Cooperation – the key to success – consists in the skillful use of character abilities that supplement each other. The most characteristic element of the game are the exaggerated heroes and humorous visuals that go against the hyper-realism trend, employing the style of an animated movie.

A first-person action game and at the same time a rather peculiar superhero simulator - Megaton Rainfall is the debut project from the independent Spanish developer Pentadimensional Games. The action of the game is set more or less in the modern times, when the Earth falls victim to an invasion of aliens who want to exterminate all humans. The player assumes the role of an immortal superhero exhibiting supernatural abilities. They are tasked with facing the alien aggressors. Players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay revolves around the exploration of the open world, completing various missions, and fighting hordes of enemies. On their way, the players are bound to encounter armed spaceships, as well as more powerful mechanical walkers. Due to his supernatural strength, the main protagonist can demolish the city infrastructure, hover in mid-air, and fly faster than the speed of light. The game is compatible with the Virtual Reality headgear; however, it is not necessary in order to play Megaton Rainfall.

A special edition of the fifth installment in the popular RPG series by Bethesda, created for VR headgear and motion controllers. The plot of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR does not differ from that in the original version of the game. The story takes place in a fantasy world, which is threatened by dragons, led by Alduin. You play as the last Dovahkiin, a human that can speak dragon language, which makes them the only one capable of stopping the oncoming apocalypse. In terms of technical aspects, the game is based on the Special Edition of the production and, compared to the original, features e.g. improved lighting, higher resolution textures, and previously unavailable visual effects. What changed most is the combat system: you aim by moving your head and attack by using motion controllers, transferring your moves onto your character.

A first-person perspective arcade title based on the adult cartoon Rick and Morty. The title is developed by the independent studio Owlchemy Labs under the watchful eye of the creators of the cartoon, including Justin Roiland. During gameplay, you take control of the titular heroes and travel through a number of locations from the TV series, where you can have fun with Rick’s crazy gadgets. There is a set of missions which can be accomplished in many ways, with the use of unique items. Even though Rick’s laboratory serves as the focal point of the game, you also travel to other planets and dimensions through portals. Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality is created for VR devices and motion controllers. The visuals are attractive, but it is the physics engine that deserves most recognition, as it is responsible for the proper behavior of items that interact with each other.

A survival futuristic racing game. Distance is the debut production of Refract, a studio founded by the creators of Nitronic Rush, a well-received free racing game. The player sits behind the wheel of a futurist car that, apart from driving at insane speeds, can also fly, jump, rapidly rotate around its axis, and use afterburners. The tracks are full of imaginative traps and exploring them plays an important role, as well. Of course, the driving model is purely arcade, and while racing, we constantly perform wild stunts. Instead of circling around one route, we try to reach the end of the map as quickly as possible. Reaching the finish line is made easier by the gadgets mounted in the car that allow us to drive on ceilings and walls, among other things. Distance offers a number of varied modes for a single player and for multiplayer play. The developers have also prepared a powerful editor that lets users create their own tracks.

The production is an expanded version (with more camera manipulation options that allow us to watch the operation at any angle) of Surgeon Simulator from 2013. The player assumes the role of the eponymous specialist who has serious problems with movement and skillful use of the instruments. It often leads to mistakes during operations which result in death of patients. The game takes place in varied environments: from a hospital room, through a space ship, to absolute darkness. Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality is characterized by well-made cartoonish graphics, thanks to which the sights, such as an opened ribcage or an exposed brain, don’t sicken the players.

A hybrid of survival horror and a roguelike game, designed exclusively for Virtual Reality headgear. Developed by Firesprite, The Persistence takes the players to the year 2521, when the interstellar voyages are a part of people’s everyday life. The main protagonist is a member of a spaceship crew, which, as a result of an unsuccessful experiment, has been turned into bloodthirsty mutants. The player is tasked with finding a way to restart the engines, allowing him to escape into safer parts of the Universe. In The Persistence, one observes the action from the first-person perspective. During the game, the player explores consecutive rooms and cabins of an enormous ship (the layout of which is procedurally generated), solves numerous environmental puzzles, and fights the encountered enemies using a diversified arsenal. There is also an option to sneak past the enemies’ backs. The main protagonist is equipped with a special device, allowing him to recover stem cells from the bodies of fallen enemies in order to develop particular traits and abilities. Interestingly enough, the protagonist’s death is permanent, which means that each playthrough features different challenges. The entire experience features high-quality visuals.

The story of Space Rift – Episode 1 takes place in the future, where the humanity was forced to leave Earth and colonize Mars. The main protagonist of the game is one of the employees of a greedy corporation that controls the society. He is wrongly accused of treason. In order to save his life, he joins a rebel group and helps them in developing a project that can save humanity. The player is tasked with helping the rebels by gathering valuable resources and defending them from enemy drones. The mechanics of Space Rift – Episode 1 focus on utilizing VR technology. Screens and buttons of the virtual cockpit are not only a part of the background, they have to be properly used to control the spaceship. As the game progress, the protagonist can improve the arsenal of his ship and constantly upgrade it.

A three-dimensional platformer based on the popular TV series Adventure Time and requiring virtual reality goggles. Players take ion the role of the series’ protagonist, Finn, who along with shape-shifting dog Jake traverse a fantasy land of Ooo, trying to lift the curse of the titular Magic Man. Gameplay focuses on classical features, like jumping on platforms, avoiding traps and obstacles, and lastly – fighting with enemies, all of which is shown from third-person perspective. Each of the heroes possesses different abilities – Finn can make use of a sword, while Jake can stretch and glide. Due to its low difficulty level, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games is suitable even for the youngest players. The game offers colorful, 3D visuals that imitate the style of the original TV series, as well as Adventure Time’s distinctive absurd humor.

A virtual reality game from Futuretown studio that is based on classic minigolf, but set in fairy-tale like floating archipelago. Quite obviously, the whole game focuses on trying to get the ball to the hole throughout courses filled with obstacles. What makes Cloudlands: VR Minigolf different from similar games are unique controls. There are no pointers or tips – player’s moves are sent to the controller in 1 to 1 scale, meaning it resembles real-life minigolf. The game features both a career mode for single player and a multiplayer option (through network or on a single device), as well as editor to create your own courses to share with others.

Similarly as its predecessor, the new Battlezone has rather modest story which tells about an invasion of aliens on planet Earth. The player takes control of a modern battle tank and they are tasked with elimination of enemy vehicles, planes and unidentified flying objects. The action is shown from a first-person perspective and during the game the player travels through futuristic locations filled with neon elements that are typical of science-fiction movies of the 80s (like, for example, TRON). The gameplay combines dynamical action with the necessity to carefully plan one's actions.
