22 Games for 2022 Recommended by Sony
Sony has shared a list of the most interesting upcoming games for PS5 and PS4 consoles. 2022 promises to be a really impressive year in terms of game launches, especially looking through the prism of the very disappointing last twelve months.
- Sony has shared a list of the 22 most exciting releases scheduled for 2022;
- The list includes Horizon Forbidden West, Dying Light 2, Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7;
- The hottest month in terms of upcoming games promises to be February;
- Many of the games selected by Sony do not have a scheduled release date.
If you're still feeling unsettled by the failed launches of late 2021, it's worth taking a look at a list prepared by Sony featuring 22 games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in the near future. Among them you will find both exclusive titles, those available on multiple platforms, as well as a little less known gems with potential.
In January PS5 and PS4 owners will be able to play Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction. Most of the announced games will appear in February and these will not be just any titles. The next month will open with the release of Dying Light 2, on February 4.
A few days later we will see the release of the auto-runner OlliOlli World, and on February 18, players will once again take on the role of Aloy and face new machines in Horizon Forbidden West. Two days after the new work of Guerrilla Games, we will see the release of a fighting game with extremely interesting gameplay mechanics - Sifu. The month will close with one of the most anticipated premieres of 2022, namely Elden Ring, which will be released on February 25.

March will bring the release of Forspoken, an open-world RPG with big names behind it, including Gary Whitta and Amy Henning. Next in line is a spin-off to the Final Fantasy series - Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. The third month of the year will also see Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 7.
The last game on Sony's list to be given a firm release date is Babylon's Fall, the online action RPG from PlatinumGames, due out in May.
Other games proposed by PlayStation maker that will debut in 2022, but have no exact release date, are: Stray, God of War Ragnarök, Gotham Knights, Ghostwire: Tokyo (May), Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Salt and Sacrifice (March), Little Devil Inside, Tchia (May),OXENFREE II: Lost Signals and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
As you can see, the owners of PlayStation consoles will not complain about boredom this year. At this point it is worth noting that a similar summary of most anticipated games of 2022 year was created by our editors. It includes games from all platforms, but a lot of items overlap with those present on Sony's list.
