Callisto Protocol Launch on Schedule and With 60 Fps
The developers of The Callisto Protocol have assured that the game will not be delayed. What's more, it will offer a 60 fps mode on consoles (probably only on PS5 and XSX/S). By the way, we remind you the early system requirements of the title on PC.
I bring good news for horror fans who are anticipating the release of The Callisto Protocol. Its developers, Striking Distance Studios, have informed today on Twitter that not only will the title not be delayed and will be released as planned, i.e. on December 2, 2022, but will also offer 60 fps on consoles - though certainly only on PS5 and Xbox Series X (Series S possibly too, at a lower resolution).
The developer saw fit to confirm the game's release date after it was noticed that Epic Games Store shows a different date, namely February 12, 2023. Fortunately, it turned out that this was a simple error.
The issue of fps, on the other hand, gained importance after the developers of the game debuting the day after tomorrow, Gotham Knights, informed that the superhero game would only run on PS5 and XSX/S at 30 fps. What's more, launching three days later, A Plague Tale: Requiem also does not offer a mode that allows for play at 60 frames per second on 9th-gen consoles.
So Striking Distance Studios apparently saw fit to boast such information. At the same time, the developer reassured the players, so to speak: the game will be released as planned and we managed to optimize it well. The latter is also suggested by the rather reasonable PC system requirements, which were announced some time ago (below). Just remember that this is not the final specification and something may change by the release.
As mentioned above, The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2. The title will hit PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S.
