Gamescom 2023 Nominations Announced; Armored Core 6 in the Lead

Only minutes separate us from the start of Europe's biggest gaming festival - the Gamescom trade fair. As every year, during the several-day event in the German city of Cologne, developers from different parts of the world will present their works and related information.

The event will also be accomapnied by the Gamescom Awards ceremony. This year's nominees have just been announced. The list of nominees was drawn up on the basis of votes cast by an international jury, composed of people connected with the gaming industry.

The statuettes will be awarded in 16 categories, with nominations yet to be announced for three of them: Best Trailer, Best Booth and the special Heart Of Gaming award, which honors not only games, DLCs or technologies, but also people, institutions, companies, concepts or notions.

Gamescom Awards - list of nominees

The biggest winner of this year's Gamescom Awards may be the shooter Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The game by FromSoftware received as many as 7 nominations.. In turn, the following games will compete for the award in four categories: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (even though it has already hit the market). The statues will be handed out on August 25.
