God of War: Ragnarok Gone Gold

Santa Monica Studio has announced that God of War: Ragnarok has gone gold. The developer also made it clear that we don't have to worry about the game's November release.

If you were worried that God of War: Ragnarok will suffer a delay in the final stretch, relax. Today, Santa Monica Studio announced that the game has gone gold. This means that it is completed and the master disc can go to the pressing plant.

Of course, there are isolated instances when a game has gone gold and the developer still postponed its release. This is how CD Projekt Red played on the occasion of Cyberpunk 2077 at the end of 2020.

However, one can be almost certain that a similar scenario will not come true in God of War: Ragnarok's case and we will be able to learn the further fate of Kratos and his son Atreus as planned, i.e. on November 9, 2022. As a reminder, let me add that the game will be released exclusively for Sony consoles - PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Industry insiders report that the time required to complete it will be similar to that spent, on average, with its predecessor.

It is possible that God of War: Ragnarok will also follow the prequel in terms of publication strategy, and launch on PC. There have even been speculations, according to which owners of PC will not have to wait as long for it as for the 2018 installment. Responsible for its PC port, Canadian studio Jetpack Interactive recently announced that it is continuing to work on the series about Kratos, which prompted fans of to speculate that the developer was about to take on Ragnarok.
