"Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC" or "how to get the players' attention in one easy step".

According to an anonymous 4chan user, a new Sony console will be announced in October 2019. The leak contained no information of a release date, but it seems that the debut is to take place quite quickly. This is indicated by the information about Red Dead Redemption II Remastered – a refreshed version of Rockstar's best-selling western, which, according to the source, will be released on PS5 in March 2020. What's interesting, is that, supposedly, we won’t have to wait nearly as long for the PC version of the game. The user claims that Red Dead Redemption II will be released on personal computers in November 2019. The source also mentions a new IP by Naughty Dog, created in cooperation with James Cameron, which is to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

All of this sounds a bit too good to be true and, unfortunately, it might be precisely the case this time. Although actual leaks sometimes pop up on 4chan, it’s hard to consider these reports to be credible. Especially when - as in this case - there are considerable doubts on their authenticity. Rockstar adding “Remastered” to a title just one year after the release of the original version seems strange, especially since it didn’t happen in case of Grand Theft Auto V on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It should be noted, however, that the PS4 version of The Last of Us did receive such a subtitle, even though the original debuted just a year earlier on the PlayStation 3.

Rumors about a Superman game from Rocksteady Studios have been circulating for a long time.

The information about Kal-El: Rise of the Kryptonians - supposedly a new game by Rocksteady Studios - is also puzzling. It's easy to guess that the game would be set in the Superman universe. On one hand, it seems very likely that Rocksteady Studios would be asked to work on a title like that, given the success of the Batman: Arkam series. If we also consider the rumors that have been floating around the web for a while now, we get an information that seems to be quite reliable. But why wouldn't the word Superman be used in the title of an official game about the Man on Steel? Would it really be abandoned in favor of his real (and less known) name? From the marketing point of view, a decision like that would be… puzzling indeed. It's difficult to find any good justification for it.

PlayStation 5 sparks huge excitement, even without any official information.

Nevertheless, for the time being, there is no final evidence to confirm or contradict these rumors. Admittedly, they partly contradict the previous "leak", but that one may not be entirely true either. Therefore, we recommend, as always, taking these and similar reports with a grain (or even a bucket) of salt, until official information is available.
