Summer Game Fest - Creator of The Game Awards Announces Numerous Game Shows

Geoff Keighley announced Summer Game Fest 2020, a series of online events planned for four months, where game developers will announce new projects, organize presentations of their productions and provide demos of some of them.

Due to the coronavirus, virtually all gaming events were canceled. Digital presentations will try to replace them. Another event of this type was announced by Geoff Keighley, the organizer of The Game Awards.

His new initiative is called Summer Game Fest 2020. Instead of a one-off conference, it will be four months full of online events. Beginning this May, the final being an online conference, scheduled for August 24, starting the virtual version of the GamesCom fair.

Summer Game Fest 2020 will include presentations of video materials from upcoming games, announcements of new titles, events organized in already available games, and demo versions of some titles. All this will include projects of such companies as CD Projekt Red, 2K Games, Activision, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, Digital Extremes, Electronic Arts, Microsoft. Private Division, Riot Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Valve, Square Enix and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Further participants will be disclosed later.

Finally, it is worth mentioning, that Summer Game Fest 2020 is only one of many online events planned for the coming months. Apart from this year's GamesCom we will also be able to follow such digital events as Summer of Gaming, Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition or PC Gaming Show 2020.
