Tenth Anniversary of League of Legends - Summary of Riot Games' Announcements

We have gathered all the major announcements of Riot Games in one place. These included several new games, League of Legends port to consoles and mobile devices, and an animated show set in the LoL universe.

Riot Games celebrated the 10th anniversary of League of Legends.

Riot Games was previously known as the studio of one game - League of Legends. The team decided that it was high time to change this and during the celebrations of the decade of the hit it revealed a number of new titles.

The developer also decided to expand its brand to other media and disclosed further development plans for LoL. We have gathered all the most important information for you in one place.

New games

League of Legends: Wild Rift

Let's start with the announcement of League of Legends: Wild Rift, a version of LoL designed for consoles and mobile devices.

It will not be a simple port. The game will be thoroughly rebuilt to offer faster gameplay. The map will also be completely new. The release will take place next year.

LoL Esports Manager

Riot Games is a real powerhouse in e-commerce, but the announcement of LoL Esports Manager was a big surprise for us. In accordance with the title, it will be a game in which we will play as a manager of an eSports team specializing in League of Legends.

We will find real players and teams in the game, and their stats will change based on how they perform in real competitions. The launch of LoL Esports Manager is scheduled for next year. The hardware platforms have not been revealed yet, but the PC version seems to be certain.

Legends of Runeterra

Legends of Runeterra, a card game set in the League of Legends universe, has also been announced. A closed beta will be launched at the beginning of next year, and the official website has already started to accept user registerations for tests.

The game is aimed at PC and mobile devices with iOS and Android. Of all the disclosed projects, Legends of Runeterra seems to be in the most advanced stage of development.

Project A

Project A (probably a temporary title) is an online FPP shooter. It will combine the tactical character of the game with cartoonish graphics and a rich selection of characters with unique abilities.

The devs did not specify which platforms the game will be playable on, but we would be very surprised if PC were not among them. It is also unknown when the game will be available on the market.

Project F

Riot Games also wants to fight for fans of action RPGs in the style of the Diablo series. Project F is aimed at them.

It will be a hack'n'slash set inthe LoL universe, in which events will be observed from an isometric perspective. No planned release date or hardware platforms were provided.

Project L

Another surprise was Project L. Under this title there is a fighting game set in the League of Legends world. The information about the game is very scarce at the moment. Its graphics will be implemented in full 3D, but the gameplay will most likely be two-dimensional.

Unfortunately, in the case of Projekt L, not only were no hardware platforms provided, but even the planned release date was not given. The developers warned that for a long time we will not learn anything new about it.

Changes in League of Legends

The devs did not limit themselves to announcing new games. A lot of details about the next season of League of Legends have also been revealed. There are also minor map changes and an additional champion named Senna.

Arcane animated series

It is also worth mentioning the Arcane project, an animated series set in the League of Legends universe. Its premiere will take place next year.
