Early Version of Valheim had Mannequins Instead of Vikings

The web has a lot of pictures and videos showing gameplay footage from the early version of the hit survival game Valheim. In some ways the title has changed a lot over the years.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Videos from 2017 and 2018 show gameplay from an early version of Valheim;
  2. Most striking is the lack of normal character models.

Survival game Valheim from the devs at Iron Gate Studio has proven to be a huge hit on Steam. Released in early access, the title attracts crowds of players and receives great reviews. Undoubtedly, this is due to the huge amount of work put into the game by the devs. How much the game has changed over the past few years can be seen on screenshots and videos presenting gameplay from an early build (we are talking about materials from the turn of 2017 and 2018, when the game was still known as Fejd).

What strikes the eye is the fact that instead of normal character models we see rather bizarre mannequins. What's interesting, in terms of atmosphere, the locations look quite similar, although they seem to be a bit rougher and less rich in detail than in the release that went on sale in early access.

Valheim is available only on PC. The full version of the title should be released in 2022.
